The Oscar-nominated Transamerica actress, 62, is mother to daughters Sofia, 25, and Georgia, 23, with husband William H. Macy, 75.

‘So I have two daughters, Sophia and Georgia, and I’m so proud of these women,’ Macy told People in New York City. ‘They’re such fine women. I don’t know how that happened. I credit Felicity, their mom.’

The Boogie Nights actor said of his younger daughter Georgia: ‘She’s pre-law. She’s been taking the LSATs and killing it – she’s an extraordinary woman.’

Huffman is six years removed from serving an 11-day federal prison sentence in connection with her plea deal in the college admissions scandal.

The crime operation, focused on corruption in academia, also saw fellow celebs Full House star Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli convicted and sent to prison.

Huffman was initially taken into custody in March 2019 in connection with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud; she was subsequently released on $250,000 bail.

Huffman entered a guilty play in May 2019, admitting to paying $15,000 for an proctor to correct wrong answers on daughter Sofia’s SATs.

Huffman confirmed she routed payments though an admissions official named William Singer via his nonprofit Key Worldwide Foundation, which prosecutors said was set up as a front to accept payoffs.

In her admission to the court, Huffman acknowledged that the scam required changing the location where Sofia Grace was taking her test, as she used a neuropsychologist to write a note in support of the change.

Huffman, who played Lynette Scavo on ABC’s Desperate Housewives, also received one year of probation, a fine of $30,000 and 250 hours of community service in connection with her plea deal.

Huffman last year told The Guardian she felt like she was ‘still processing’ the bizarre turn of events as she sought to methodically rebuild her show business career.

Huffman said that it’s ‘sort of like your old life died and you died with it,’ adding, ‘I’m lucky enough to have a family and love and means, so I had a place to land.’

She told ABC7 in 2023 that the public had misconceptions about how she got involved in such a sordid scandal.

‘People assume that I went into this looking for a way to cheat the system and making proverbial criminal deals in back alleys, but that was not the case,’ Huffman said.

She added, ‘I worked with a highly recommended college counselor named Rick Singer.

‘I worked with him for a year and trusted him implicitly; he recommended programs and tutors and he was the expert.

Huffman added that ‘after a year, [Singer] started to say, “Your daughter is not going to get into any of the colleges that she wants to.” And so, I believed him.’

Huffman said her foray into criminal conduct was fueled by her ambitions as a parent.

‘When he slowly started to present the criminal scheme, it seemed like – and I know this seems crazy at the time – that that was my only option to give my daughter a future,’ Huffman said. ‘I know hindsight is 20/20 but it felt like I would be a bad mother if I didn’t do it. So, I did it.’
