Barry ‘Bear’ Myrden has emerged disheartened after filming the season finale of The Golden Bachelor.
The leading man, 61, returned from South Africa via Sydney Airport earlier this year alongside the show’s host Samantha Armytage.
Bear looked downcast as he made his way through the terminal, sparking speculation about whether he even found love at the end of the inaugural season.
Despite his low spirits, he looked every inch the silver fox in a navy blue t-shirt, light-wash jeans and brown lace-up boots.
He later donned a pair of sunglasses in a failed attempt to go incognito.
The Canadian-born reality star looked notably exhausted following the 12-hour flight, while TV host Samantha was quite the opposite.

The 49-year-old wore a giant smile on her face as she touched down back in Australia.
The TV host kept it casual in a white t-shirt, wide-legged jeans and a neutral bomber jacket.
She paired the airport outfit with white sneakers, oversized sunglasses and a black crossbody bag.
Sweeping her blonde locks into a chic low bun, she looked fresh as a daisy while greeting friends at arrivals, while pushing her luggage through the airport.
The Golden Bachelor’s glum appearance comes amid rumours he fails to find love at the end of the show.
Last week, Triple M stars Beau, Cat & Woodsy discussed Bear’s love life and revealed their shock theory that he is still single after they recently interviewed the Canadian-born engineer.
‘He had a look on his face. Like he has picked someone and either she has rejected him or he has rejected her,’ Cat Lynch said.
‘You can tell he hasn’t found what he is looking for. I am saying he has found no one.’

Beau Ryan jumped in to say he had his own reasons for believing Bear was not currently smitten with anyone.
‘I spoke to Matty J, who does the Two Dating Dads podcast, and he interviewed him and yep. We’re saying the bloke’s not in love,’ Beau said.
‘I’m saying he has picked someone, but they said, “no”.’
At the beginning of the season, Bear was introduced to viewers as a father of three boys – Charlie, 21, Jack, 20, and Declan, 17 – who had emigrated from Canada to Australia with his late wife Audrey two decades ago.
Bear then revealed that tragically, she was diagnosed with a ‘brain tumour which turned the family’s world upside down.’
‘Audrey was more than one in a million; she was one in six billion,’ he said.
Bear picked his final two ladies on Monday’s episode of The Golden Bachelor.
Kim, 60, was sensationally dumped during the penultimate Rose Ceremony, with only Sunny and Janette left in the running to win Bear’s heart.

The Queensland doctor was openly heartbroken to leave the show so close to the end, after admitting she was falling for the Golden Bachelor.
‘I just feel really sad. I’m ready to fall in love. I am really ready to start my life, and he doesn’t want to do that,’ a tearful Janette admitted.
‘I’ll go away and lick my wounds for a while, but I will be happy. And hopefully I’ll find what I’m looking for. This was a good try,’ she added.
Kim told 9Entertainment that she knew her time was up before Bear failed to call out her name.
‘Everybody was really quiet on the day that I went home, there was a different vibe, and I could pick it up,’ she said.
‘And in my heart of hearts, I knew he wasn’t going to pick me. I thought we had a genuine connection, but I thought this is ominous.’
Kim said she thought she had a ‘connection’ with Bear and felt that her ‘heart was left lying on the ground’ when she realised he did not feel the same.
The widow admitted that she has not dated anyone since leaving the show.
‘I’m not going to let myself be chosen. I’m going to choose, and I have had a big break from dating and it’s been kind of refreshing,’ she said.
