The actress showcases her age-defying figure in a busty strapless Mugler corset and a lime green Versace lace dress for the April Issue of Elle Spain – her ninth cover for the publication.
‘If you ask me what my relationship with myself was like now and the one I had when I was 20 or 30, I honestly prefer the one I have now,’ Penelope says.
While the Hollywood star isn’t sure what she will do to mark her 50th, she says she will spend it with her loved ones, some of whom she has known since she was a teenager.
Of turning 50, she says: ‘I take advantage of each decade, each moment, and I never think “I was better before”.’

And Penelope proves she is in her best era yet as she oozes confidence in the accompanying photoshoot.
The actress shows off her ample cleavage in the PVC Mugler corset which she teamed with skintight jeans, Aquazzurra sandals and Chanel earrings.
Penelope also showed off her legs in a crepe jacket, chiffon blouse and lace lingerie from Dolce & Gabbana.
The actress says she does miss the ‘antics’ of her younger years as she has become more aware of the world around her with age.
‘Sometimes I would like to do more antics and return more to that kind of unconsciousness,’ she says.
Penelope adds: ‘Everything I have learned so far or all the mountains I have had to climb – some of which have not been easy, and I am not talking about anything that has to do with success or that part of the job – are part of my learning. diary.’
Also in the interview, Penelope gives a rare insight into her family life with husband Javier Bardem and their two children Leo, 13, and Luna, 10.
The actress reveals she always wanted to be a mother and tried at 20 on a trip to India to adopt a child by herself, but was unable to.
