Sydney influencer Holly Young made her reality TV debut during Sunday’s return of Big Brother Australia.
But what fans may not realise is that the brunette beauty has a very famous ex – one of Australia’s top luxury real estate agents.
Daily Mail can reveal that Holly previously dated Luxe Listings Sydney star Gavin Rubinstein.
The pair went public with their romance in August 2024, sharing a series of loved-up holiday snaps before quietly calling it quits just a few months later.
At the time, sources close to the couple said the relationship ended after an ‘intense overseas trip’ that exposed cracks behind the glitz and glamour.
‘Things got complicated when they started travelling together,’ one insider revealed. ‘It was fast-paced from the beginning, but they were just in different places in life.’

Following their split, Holly briefly dated entrepreneur Richie Harkham –Â a close friend of Rubinstein’s – after the pair were spotted spending Christmas together at his family’s Hunter Valley winery.Â
Rubinstein, who was Ray White’s No. 1 seller before starting his own luxury real estate agency, The Rubinstein Group, later rang in the new year in New York City – without Young.
He then jetted to Saint Barthélemy for another holiday.
Meanwhile, Rubinstein moved on with Made In Chelsea star Ruby Adler, with the pair recently spotted jetting into Sydney after a lavish holiday in Los Angeles.
As for Holly, she’s been making waves in Sydney’s influencer circles, often spotted at fashion events and rubbing shoulders with reality TV stars.
Earlier this year, she was photographed enjoying a sunny day in Bondi with Married At First Sight bride Carina Mirabile.
Holly showed off her enviable figure in a cropped white T-shirt, blue jeans and designer sunglasses as the pair swapped selfies and laughs over coffee.
It comes after fans flooded social media on Sunday night praising the ‘authentic’ and ‘refreshing’ new cast, calling it a return to the show’s original roots.

‘To give the show credit, I like the fact that viewers are given the platform to watch the cast authentically,’ one fan wrote. ‘Unlike every other reality show currently on air that manufactures villains and controversy. This makes me excited.’
Another viewer added: ‘Mel was fantastic, the cast lacks a little diversity but seem like a good, NORMAL bunch. The look and feel of the whole show is Big Brother. They delivered on everything they promised.’
While it’s only the beginning, several housemates have already captured the audience’s attention.
One breakout star appears to be Colin, the cheeky 21-year-old MMA fighter with a mullet and moustache who describes himself as a ‘mama’s boy.’
Viewers praised his humour and carefree energy, with one fan joking: ‘Loving the bromance with Vinny and Colin,’ while another wrote, ‘Colin is actually funny and is in his underwear for some reason.’
Meanwhile, Vinnie, a 21-year-old barber and self-confessed flirt, is quickly emerging as a fan favourite. ‘Winner prediction Vinnie. But I’m rooting for Mia,’ one tweet read.
Viewers are also rallying behind Jane and Mia, calling them ‘the ones to watch,’ while 49-year-old publishing boss Michael has already been branded the show’s first ‘most annoying’ housemate.
