Chantelle Houghton has revealed she’s been celibate for the last two years following a string of disastrous relationships.
The former Big Brother star, 40, who won the show in 2006, said she has ‘given up’ looking for love due to the lack of ‘gentlemen’ in the world.
The mother-of-one told The Sun: ‘It’s been about two years now and without sex I feel empowered, independent and free’.
‘Chivalry appears to be dead and I’d much rather go through the rest of my life single than settle for someone who makes me miserable’.
Chantelle was married to singer Preston, 42, for a year after meeting in the Big Brother house before embarking on a string of other high profile relationships.

Telling the publication: ‘Since my marriage to Preston ended I’ve suffered everything from ghosting to gaslighting and I can spot a narcissist a mile off’.
She was engaged to Katie Price’s ex Alex Reid, with whom she shares daughter Dolly, 11, but ended the relationship after claims he had been unfaithful with other men and turned their home into a sex dungeon in 2011.
Chantelle also dated former Crimewatch host Rav Wilding, before they were pictured having a blazing row after which led to them splitting up in 2012.
Telling the The Mirror about the incident at the time: ‘You give six months of your life to someone – you don’t expect this treatment. Everyone could see it was aggressive.
It comes after Chantelle said she ignored negative comments about her weight because she is ‘happy’ with the way she looks.
The former reality star revealed she has lost ‘nearly 5 stone’ after she overhauled her diet and exercise routine in 2021 after hitting 13 stone.
The mother-of-one explained how she used to get called a ‘beach whale’ but still now gets ‘abuse’ from trolls as they claim she ‘has an eating disorder’ after losing weight.
Speaking on Vicky Pattison: The Secret To podcast, the reality star said: ‘I didn’t care about what people thought of my weight.

‘The only thing that hit me, I was a bit conscious of my stomach and when people use to say, “oh she’s pregnant” that was probably the only time it bothered me.
‘I’ve nearly lost 5st but when I was heavier people would say, “She’s like a beach whale” but when I lost the weight everyone then said, “She’s ill and has an eating problem”.
‘Your always going to get the abuse and your never going to stop people having a negative opinion. As long as I am happy with myself I don’t care.’
Earlier in the podcast, Chantelle, who won Big Brother 17 years ago, admitted she has ‘had her moneys worth’ of ‘tweakments’ since and would not like her daughter to go on a reality show as young as she did.

She added: ‘I’ve had a few tweakmeants over the past couple of months, I’ve had me moneys worth.
‘I do worry about the youngsters who do a reality show now and expect the fame to always be there, that’s what worries me about people’s mental health when they think it’s going to last forever.
‘Luckily I just went for the ride but personally I wouldn’t want my daughter to go into reality TV at such a young age.
‘The fact people can go online and see what I’ve done at 20 and will judge that but I wouldn’t do any of that stuff now I’m 40. I do hate the internet.’
