Brisbane 4BC brekkie show is set for a makeover after the recent departure of Peter Fegan, who helmed the coveted spot for just 13 months.
The revamped breakfast show will be presented by current Afternoons host Sofie Formica and former Triple M announcer Dean Miller.
Channel Nine Queensland weekend weatherman, Luke Bradnam, took Fegan’s old spot temporarily three weeks ago amid tumbling ratings.
Breakfast with Dean and Sofie, meanwhile, will make its debut on January 19.
Fegan was axed in October after scoring a very poor 3.6 per cent audience share in the lastest radio ratings survey.
Management at the Nine-owned station are hoping to bring listeners back to the all-important morning slot by continuing with a talkback format presented by proven crowdpleasers and long-time friends Miller and Formica.

A former brekkie presenter at Triple M 104.5, Miller has a strong following in his hometown of Brisbane.
He’s also a well-known face on TV after hosting Seven’s Creek to Coast, The Great South East and Queensland Weekender.
It comes after Fegan spoke to The Australian last week about his appalling ratings performance.
‘It’s hard to describe, it feels like I’ve let everyone down – my listeners, my team, my boss and my station – everyone,’ he told the publication only weeks after he was shown the door by the bosses at 4BC.
He continued: ‘It’s crushing and a terrible feeling because I never want to let anyone down, and I still feel that guilt today.
‘At the same time, hosting a radio show on 4BC has always been my dream job, so to have had the opportunity to do that is something I will always be incredibly proud of and incredibly grateful for.’
Fegan made headlines back in September 2024 when it was announced he was set to replace the breakfast trio of Laurel Edwards, Gary Clare and Mark Hine.
He came to the role after hosting 4BC Weekends.

The axing of Edwards, Clare and Hine came as a shock after their launch in 2022, as the station switched to a classic hits format on the early morning show.
They claimed an impressive 11.8 per cent audience share – and third place – during their debut in Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
But Edwards, Clare and Hine’s ratings had been in terminal decline before their departure.
Their show finished a humiliating last place in their last survey, with an alarming 4.3 per cent audience share.
