Actor Austin North was arrested Tuesday evening in Las Vegas in connection with accusations he physically attacked multiple medical workers in the emergency room of UMC Hospital.
Police in Las Vegas told TMZ Thursday that officers had responded to reports of an assault and battery that had occurred.
Authorities told the outlet that they subsequently interviewed multiple people who claimed the 27-year-old actor had attacked them, with no conflict preceding the outburst.
Two nurses and a phlebotomist told law enforcement that the Cincinnati native ‘came out of nowhere’ with the physical attack, in which he threw punches.
One nurse said that North, who plays the role of Topper Thornton on Netflix’s Outer Banks, punched them in the head, while another said he shoved their face.

The phlebotomist said that North had pushed them into a table, at which point they grabbed a tray and hit the actor in the head with it, in an act of defending themselves.
Police said that as security officers tried to restrain North, he had attacked someone else, the outlet reported.
Security was finally able to restrain the actor when they had used handcuffs to secure North to a stretcher on the premises.
Police who responded to the scene then read North his Miranda rights and informed him he was being arrested in connection with battery.
North affirmed that he understood what was happening, police said.
The actor was then transported to a jail facility and booked in connection with gross misdemeanor battery, posing for a mug shot.
North, who has also been seen on shows such as I Didn’t Do It and All Night, bonded out of the facility.
It was not immediately clear why North was at the medical facility in the first place.
North appeared at a separate event in Las Vegas February 10 at XS nightclub at Encore Las Vegas
