Coleen Rooney Wears Aircast Boot at Danny Jones’ McFly Concert Reunion

Coleen Rooney Wears Aircast Boot at Danny Jones’ McFly Concert Reunion

She was memorably pictured entering court for her Wagatha Christie trial wearing one Gucci loafer and an orthopedic boot following a fall at her home.

And Coleen Rooney has suffered another injury as she sported an Aircast boot while watching McFly and Busted at their gig in Manchester on Wednesday night.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday, Coleen shared photos with husband Wayne and her parents Colette and Tony McLoughlin.

The WAG, 39, and former England footballer, 40, supported her former I’m A Celebrity campmate Danny Jones as he performed with his McFly bandmates during their latest tour.

However, as Coleen posed in a box with Danny’s friends and family,  fans noticed she was wearing an Aircast boot, which is used to provide support after severe ankle sprains, foot fractures and foot or ankle surgery.

The mother-of-four didn’t disclose what has happened to her foot or ankle but looked in good spirits as she posed with Danny and fellow guest Rick Astley.

Coleen looked chic for the evening as she tucked a shirt into a pair of black jeans while Wayne dressed smart in a black jumper and jeans.

She gushed: ‘Fantastic concert, great company, lovely catch ups @waynerooney @dannyjonesofficial’.

Coleen was previously seen wearing an Aircast boot to support a broken bone just below her little toe after she sustained an injury falling at her home in March 2022, which she had to wear for approximately six months.

The boot gained significant public attention because Coleen wore it daily while attending the High Court for the “Wagatha Christie” libel trial against Rebekah Vardy in May 2022.

Rebekah even hinted in an interview that Coleen might be ‘milking the moon-boot’ injury for sympathy during the court case.

However, the claim was later dismissed after Coleen shared an X-ray of her clearly broken foot on X after the boot was removed in August 2022.

Daily Mail have contacted Coleen’s representatives for comment.

It comes as Coleen and Wayne’s oldest son Kai, 16, provided an encouraging fitness update on social media after being sidelined with an injury for the past two months.

At the start of September the forward was on crutches and his right foot in a protective boot – sharing an image of his predicament on Instagram alongside a caption of ‘Life can’t get worse’.

But on Tuesday, the outlook for Rooney was a lot brighter as he provided another update to his followers on Instagram.

Taking a picture of himself in United training gear and wearing boots, he accompanied it with two sand-glass emojis – indicating that he is nearing a return to full-fitness.

That will be welcome news to Rooney and the Red Devils as he progression at the club has been progressing nicely.

He had already earned a surprise call-up to the club’s Under-19 squad earlier this season, aged 15.

And just weeks later he bagged his first goal for the Under-18s with a left-footed volley rifled into the top corner against Middlesbrough.

Capable of playing as a striker or out wide, Rooney impressed for United at the Super Cup NI in Northern Ireland in the summer – a tournament which his father Wayne played in many years ago for Everton.

When asked about offering advice to his eldest son earlier this year, Wayne said he prefers a hands-off approach.

‘He just plays, that’s what he’s always done. It’s unfair to expect too much – he’s only 15. But he handles the pressure of his surname very well.’

Kai joined United’s academy in 2020 at the age of 11 and has steadily worked his way through the youth ranks. His playing style draws natural comparisons to his father, while staff at United have praised his composure, movement off the ball, and eye for goal.

It comes after Wayne and Coleen looked happier than ever as they cosied up to their four sons wearing matching Christmas pyjamas in a sweet family snap on Wednesday.

The couple, who have been married since 2008, relaxed on their huge cream sofa at their £20million Cheshire mansion with sons Kai, Klay, 11, Kit, eight, and Cass, six.

The Rooney family were helping to raise money for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool where the WAG’s late sister was cared for, by promoting the pyjamas.

On Wednesday, Wayne paid a visit to the hospital where he posed with staff and football fans alike.

He took the time to meet lots of patients, sign football shirts and pose for pictures, giving everyone a much needed boost.
