Diane and Laura made history in 1992 as the first mother-daughter duo to earn Oscar nominations in the same year for their performances in Rambling Rose.

In 2018 the matriarch was given six months to live when she was misdiagnosed with pneumonia after inhaling poisonous spray from a farm neighboring her home.

Unsatisfied with the diagnosis, Laura transferred her to another hospital, where she made a full recovery.

As she worked to improve her health, the pair took long walks and recorded their conversations.

The discussions evolved into their 2023 joint memoir Honey, Baby, Mine: A Mother And Daughter Talk Life, Death, Love (And Banana Pudding).

In a review of the literary work The Telegraph raved it is ‘the best, truest, most shockingly entertaining Hollywood memoir,’ adding, ‘It is also one of the most loving.’
