Alexis Wilkins was thrust into the spotlight this week after her boyfriend, FBI director Kash Patel, was called out for using an FBI jet to see her perform at a wrestling match.
Patel, 45, issued a passionate defense of Wilkins, 27, who he dubbed a ‘country music sensation’ after the couple came under fire over his use of the taxpayer-funded aircraft.
While calling Wilkins a ‘sensation’ may be a bit of a stretch, the singer-songwriter has been performing music since childhood.Â
Raised in Arkansas in a strict Christian family, Wilkins honed her craft from a young age and started performing at regional fairs and showcases as a teen.
She later moved to Nashville for college, where she made some connections in the music industry while getting her bachelor’s degree in business admin.
Wilkins had some local success, but it wasn’t until 2022 when she had a minor hit with the patriotic country ballad Stand.Â

The song, which was dedicated to veterans and first responders, was released exclusively on the right-leaning Rumble app and President Donald Trump’s Truth Social, and helped establish Wilkins as a new voice in the MAGA movement.Â
In November, 2022, when Stand was released, Patel issued a statement on Wilkins’ behalf to promote the song.
‘I recently met Alexis at an event in Nashville and immediately gravitated to her articulate patriotism and talent,’ he gushed.
‘We are thrilled to partner with her at Truth Social and Rumble to launch her debut single Stand.’
By early 2023, Patel and Wilkins were officially an item.
A few months later, Wilkins released her debut EP Grit and joined conservative media company PragerU as a writer and personality.
As time went by, Wilkins’ music career appeared to take a backseat to her political activism.Â

While she’s continued to perform around the country, she only boasts 7,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, so it’s no surprise that the brunette’s main passion seems to be supporting the MAGA movement.Â
Over the past year, Wilkins has appeared all over right wing media, from The Megyn Kelly Show to One America News Network, and has created social media content about the American border crisis.Â
With Patel by her side, Wilkins even met President Trump in the Oval Office in February, and in June she became a board member of the NRA (National Rifle Association).
Being thrust into the spotlight has made Wilkins a target for criticism and gossip, and it goes far beyond her 18-year age-gap with Patel. Â
Online conspiracies are gaining traction falsely claiming that Wilkins – who is a devout Christian – is actually a Jewish Mossad spy.
She has also been accused of being a ‘honeypot,’ a spy who uses romantic tactics or sexual relationships to influence actions or compromise targets with access to intelligence.

‘The fact that people are trying to point to anything other than just the actual facts of everything is pretty thin,’ Wilkins told the Daily Mail in August.Â
Wilkins has since filed a $5million defamation lawsuit against podcaster and former FBI agent Kyle Seraphin over his false claims that Wilkins is an Israeli intelligence agent, according to The Times of Israel.Â
According to the lawsuit, which was first published by Reason, Seraphin ‘has maliciously lied’ about Wilkins and is ‘using this fabricated story as self-enriching clickbait.’
‘I’ve blocked the word “honeypot” from my Instagram comments, if that tells you anything,’ Wilkins previously told the Daily Mail.
‘I think that it started with people wanting to find – and really scraping the bottom of the barrel to find – a justification for the fact that they don’t have this [Epstein] list in their hand and they will go find it with pitchforks.
‘There are a lot of people in this administration with age differences. There are a lot of people out there with age differences,’ she added.
Continuing to defend her age-gap romance with Patel, Wilkins said, ‘I feel like [within] a couple minutes talking to me, you probably couldn’t picture me dating a 26-year-old.
‘So it’s always made a lot of sense to us and our friends and everyone around us. And there’s really no need to justify things like that.’
Over the past year, Wilkins has appeared all over right wing media and has rubbed shoulders with other young MAGA influencers, including Brilyn Hollyhand

On Monday, Patel fired off an angry defense of his country star squeeze after he was accused of using an FBI jet to watch her perform at a wrestling match in Pennsylvania. Â
The FBI Director, 45, posted a lengthy social media rant on Sunday that slammed his critics as ‘uninformed internet anarchists’ and defended the country star following his trip to watch her sing the national anthem.
‘The disgustingly baseless attacks against Alexis – a true patriot and the woman I’m proud to call my partner in life – are beyond pathetic,’ Patel wrote.Â
‘She is a rock-solid conservative and a country music sensation who has done more for this nation than most will in ten lifetimes. I’m so blessed she’s in my life.’
He then added: ‘Attacking her isn’t just wrong – it’s cowardly and jeopardizes our safety. My love of family will always be my cornerstone, and you will never tear that down or keep me from them,’ he added.
Patel’s spokesperson, Ben Williamson, also defended him, saying his trips pale in comparison to the money spent by former FBI chiefs James Comey and Christopher Wray. He also claimed Patel pays a reimbursement in advance.
‘He’s allowed to take personal time on occasion to see family, friends or his longtime girlfriend. He doesn’t do it often,’ Williamson said.

However, many have criticized Patel over the flight, with former FBI agent Kyle Seraphin roasting him earlier this week in a post that satirized him as ‘KA$H.’
‘Dear FBI Employees: I’m sorry the government ISN’T funded, so you won’t be getting a paycheck,’ Seraphin wrote. ‘Luckily, that doesn’t stop Real American Freestyle WRESTLING! So I flew the FBI jet to State College PA, hung out with my chick, and then flew to Nashville where she lives.’Â
Conservative commentator Candace Owens eviscerated Patel on Sunday night for his verbose rant.
‘I don’t care about Alexis one way or another but I want to point out that the head of the FBI is tweeting out in defense of his girlfriend. Not a wife but a girlfriend,’ Owens wrote on X. ‘We are just not a serious nation whatsoever.’
In a possible warning to his enemies in the Trump administration, Patel finished his message with: ‘And to our supposed allies staying silent – your silence is louder than the clickbait haters.’
