The new owner of Dina Broadhurst‘s former Darling Point apartment has revealed why she’s put the stunning harbourside pad back on the market – just months after she bought it for an estimated $8million.
Monique Fitzgerald, who purchased the three-bedroom garden apartment with her husband Michael in June, insists the sale has nothing to do with buyer’s remorse.
Instead, she says the couple seized the chance to cash in on a buoyant market, having delayed their planned move to Sydney.
‘We absolutely love this property – it’s truly exquisite, and Etham Avenue has always been one of our favourite streets in Darling Point,’ Mrs Fitzgerald tells us.Â
‘We’ve decided to sell purely because the timing of our relocation has shifted, and we wanted to take advantage of the current strength in the market.
‘The level of interest has already exceeded our expectations.’Â

The Fitzgeralds, who run the Coffs Coast-based Luxury Beach Getaways, are understood to have snapped up the home for $8million after it was listed with a guide of $8.4million.
Five months on, they’ve put the luxury unit back on the market, with a price guide set at the same figure they paid for it.
The couple are no doubt hoping that competition among buyers will drive the price higher – enough to cover the estimated $500,000 in stamp duty and other costs tied to the June sale.
There is no legal requirement for auction reserves to match the price guide.Â
The forthcoming sale marks the latest chapter in a long-running saga of personal entanglements and on-again, off-again market moves surrounding the apartment, which Broadhurst once co-owned with her former partner, real estate developer Max Shepherd.
Dina and Max – friendly exes, by all accounts – bought the place for $5.2million in 2022 while they were a couple and transformed it into a breezy, modern paradise complete with a home studio.
They broke up in June 2023 after dating for about four and a half years.
In November 2024, they listed the home for $11.5million, but with no buyer willing to bite at that steep price, they withdrew it from the market in January this year.
The apartment – described in its listing as having ‘house-like proportions’ – was later rescheduled with a more realistic guide and eventually sold to the Fitzgeralds in June.

Real estate powerhouse and Highland Double Bay Director David Malouf sold the unit for Dina and Max, and is now selling it for the Fitzgeralds.Â
Malouf’s continued involvement adds a romantic twist: his ex-girlfriend Hannah Waites is now dating his former client Max.
Hannah – a DJ and executive business manager at technology investment management firm Future Now Capital – was spotted on Max’s arm back in June, not long after Malouf helped Max offload his Etham Avenue home.
Hannah used to be in the real estate game as an executive assistant for The Rubinstein Group.
