Rebel Wilson is set to host the 2024 AACTA Awards for the first time.
The Pitch Perfect star, 43, who is currently in Melbourne to watch the Australian Open, will travel to the Gold Coast next month to helm the annual awards ceremony.
‘Having spent the last months back in Oz making my debut feature (film The Deb), I’ve been reminded time and time again of the Australian film and television industry’s depth of talent, smarts, energy and just all-round awesomeness,’ Rebel told the Courier Mail.
‘It’s amazing to be back working here and an honour to celebrate the Aussies who have achieved great things with their projects over the past year.’
She will be joined on stage by guest presenters including Cate Blanchett, Patrick Brammall, Harriet Dyer and Harry Connick Jnr.

Teresa Palmer, Marta Dusseldorp, Tom Gleeson, Leah Purcell and producer Bruna Papandrea will also serve as guest presenters.
Australia’s answer to the Golden Globes, The AACTA Awards honour excellence in the film and television industry, both locally and internationally.
This will be the first time the prestigious awards ceremony will be held in the Sunshine State.

Rebel is no stranger to hosting live award ceremonies, having previously helmed the BAFTA Awards in 2022 and the MTV Movie Awards in 2013.
The Australian Academy of Cinema Arts announced its full list of nominees for the 2024 AACTA Awards in December.
In the television category, ABC’s popular drama The Newsreader led the field with an astounding 15 nominations.

These include Best Drama Series and acting nominations for stellar performances by Sam Reid and Anna Torv.
It is followed closely by Amazon’s The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart, which received 12 nominations.
The 2024 AACTA Awards Ceremony will air Saturday 10 February on Channel 10 at 7pm.
A special director’s cut including all awards will also be available on demand via Binge and Foxtel at 7.30pm on Sunday 11 February.
