President Donald Trump’s team playfully trolled Taylor Swift on Monday by using her own music against her.
The White House’s TikTok account posted a light-hearted patriotic parody of her chart-topping single, The Fate of Ophelia, which they changed to ‘the fate of America’ in the captions.
In it, the 35-year-old billionaire pop star’s lyrics are matched with memorable moments of the 79-year-old Republican politician, including his 2023 mugshot after being indicted on racketeering and related charges.
When Taylor sang ‘your team’ they flashed an image of Vice President JD Vance, whose 2021 comments about the country being run by ‘childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made’ insulted her.
