Fans are gearing up for the launch of Love Island All Stars with favourites such as Georgia Harrison to Chris Taylor and Georgia Steel entering the villa.
And bosses of the ITV show have shared their hopes for the upcoming edition to return every year after axing the winter series for a second time.
MailOnline can exclusively revealed that winter season of Love Island, which first aired in 2020, had been cancelled due to low ratings.
Speaking to The Sun, executive producer Mike Spencer said: ‘I would love it to stay like this and do All Stars in winter and then the regular series with new islanders in the summer.
‘That way the two series feel different. That’s what we need to do as producers, we need to focus on making sure the format feels different and that it doesn’t feel like the same Love Island series again.’

ITV bosses had previously hoped Maya Jama would pull back plummeting ratings from the winter series but despite the presenter’s popularity, the show filmed in South Africa failed to resonate with viewers on the same scale as it does during the summer.
In 2020, the first winter series aired but it was cancelled until this year when Maya, 28, took over the helm from former presenter Laura Whitmore, 38.
TV insiders later confirmed to MailOnline that the winter series would be replaced with the All Stars season, which will feature Love Island contestants from previous shows filmed not only in the UK but US and Australia.
The cast of Love Island All Stars was announced on Monday and exes Liberty Poole and Jake Cornish are set to come face-to-face for an on-screen reunion on the show.
Liberty, 24, and Jake, 26, were originally favourites to win the seventh series of Love Island, but broke up and quit the show just days before the final after Movie Night revelations rocked their romance.
Upon her All Stars casting, Liberty admitted it might be ‘awkward’ coming across an ex-boyfriend in the South African villa, ahead of her face-to-face reunion with Jake.
They are not the only exes set to reunite as Toby Aromolaran and Kaz Kamwi – who were a couple on the show in 2021 before he moved on with Chloe Burrows – are both returning to Love Island for a second chance at love.
Other show legends heading back to the iconic Love Island villa include Georgia Harrison – who has her eye on Barbie star Chris Taylor, Hannah Elizabeth, Demi Jones and Luis Morrison.

Meanwhile, Tom Clare is said to be ‘in talks’ to enter as a second bombshell after he was spotted making his way to the South African villa earlier this week.
The former footballer, 24, who was a finalist on the winter series only last year, was seen by holiday makers on a flight to South Africa hinting a potential return to the upcoming series as a latecomer.
And a TV source told the MailOnline that Tom has been in talks with ITV ahead of the exciting new series.
The influencer on Monday also posted two snaps to his Instagram story to possibly steer away from the idea that he is away, as ITV bosses lifted contestants’ social media ban for the upcoming series.

I take that experience as a really positive reflection now. I look at it as something I had to go through to make me stronger and learn things in life for me to be able to learn what I want in my next partner.

I am very honest and very opinionated and I think that’s what people like me for. If I don’t agree with something, I’m not going to hold it back.
