Sarah Paulson has admitted to an unexpected on-set mishap with Kim Kardashian while filming their upcoming legal drama All’s Fair.
The actress, 50, revealed that during an intense face-off scene that her performance got a little too real when a piece of food shot out of her mouth and landed directly in the 45-year-old reality star’s eye.
‘I had to say some really scandalous things in Kim’s face,’ Paulson explained to People. ‘I did at one time spit a potato chip on her. I was in her face screaming, and it was like, “Bing!” I saw it go in her eye.’
Kardashian and Paulson’s co-stars Glenn Close, Niecy Nash-Betts, Naomi Watts and Teyana Taylor confirmed that the pair struggled to keep straight faces on multiple occasions.
‘Sarah and Kim sometimes could not look at each other without laughing,’ Close said, while Nash-Betts added, ‘Once the laughter started, we all knew it was going to be at least 30 minutes before we could even start.’

The show follows a team of high-powered female lawyers who leave their firm to start their own company as Allura vows to destroy her younger husband who married her for money.
Big name guest stars including Brooke Shields, Elizabeth Berkley, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Judith Light appear in the series as the attorneys’ clients.Â
While appearing on the Graham Norton show, she said: ‘Working with a cast like this I wanted to make sure I was completely prepared. What I could control was absolutely knowing my lines, being on time and being super professional.
‘These women are the greatest at what they do, and I just watched and learned every day.’
She added, ‘It was an honor, and I have just had the best time. Working with these women was like summer camp.’
Elsewhere during the television spot, the SKIMS founder revealed she will soon find out if she passed the bar exam.
‘I took the bar exam in July. I get the results a few days after our [All’s Fair] premiere. So in two weeks. So everyone please pray for me. I worked really hard,’ she said.
As she awaits the results of the bar exam, she could be days away from fulfilling her longtime dream to be a legal professional.

The reality television star-turned-mogul estimated, ‘Maybe in 10 years, I think I’ll give up being Kim K and be a trial lawyer. That’s what I really want.’
Kim has spent six years working on a law apprenticeship — the unconventional path that allowed her to bypass law school — before officially wrapping the program on May 21, 2025.
She passed the ‘baby bar’ on her fourth try in December 2021, clearing the first major hurdle on her way to becoming a licensed attorney.
Later, she faced the notoriously brutal California bar, considered the hardest in the nation, with one of the lowest pass rates.
Kardashian will find out the results of her exam on November 7, 2025.Â
