Cruz Beckham Goes Shirtless in Quirky Frog Hat with Girlfriend in New Music Video “Lick The Toad”

Cruz Beckham stripped off into a vest and a quirky frog hat as he released a new video for his single Lick The Toad.

The singer, 20, who is the son of Victoria and David Beckham, starred in the clip alongside his friends.

He was seen playfully singing along to his latest hit single while wearing a plush green frog cosplay hat.

In the clip, Cruz and his pals were seen hanging out in a studio, each wearing a variant of the nepo baby’s headgear.

As the video came to an end, partner Jackie Apostel, 29, who is credited as the brand strategist, was heard laughing with Cruz and his fellow musicians.

Cruz not only sings in the release, but he also plays the guitar alongside his pal Telmo Seixas.

His second single release, Lick The Toad, favours less racy lyrics, instead, basing his song on ‘Mother Nature’

‘Let me take a lick of you, mother nature, imma take a lick. Let me take a hit of you mother nature, imma take a hit’, he sings in the chorus.

Since starting his music career in rather shabby music venues, Cruz has certainly given his musical debut much-needed authenticity.

The nepo baby has also enlisted help from The Kooks frontman Luke Pritchard, who has added some heft to Cruz’s offering by assisting him with songwriting.

His set list on the new album includes the songs Waste Your Pain, Optics, John Lennon, Tie Don’t Fit, For Your Love, Yeah Yeah Yeah and, of course, Lick The Toad.

It has been a long time coming: Cruz shared his first single, If Every Day Was Christmas, back in 2016, with profits going to charity.

Then, in December last year, he released his single For Ya Love, which some claimed was ‘better than Oasis’.

The young musician has prepared for the imminent release with a series of intimate performances, among them a show at East London’s legendary The George Tavern.

Cruz took to a small wooden stage, alongside his band, to perform a handful of his own new songs, among them Optics, Caroline, For Your Love, and Lick The Toad.

He told the crowd: ‘This is really special for me. I just want to thank everyone for being here tonight.’

One industry source, who was at the gig, said: ‘Cruz was a little nervous, but once he got going, the crowd went wild for him.

‘He’s clearly spent the summer listening to Oasis. He’s got a decent voice, can play the guitar, and his songs are certainly catchy.’

Likening his music to 2000s bands such as The Kooks and the Kaiser Chiefs, they added: ‘I would describe his style as catchy indie landfill.’

While none of his celebrity relatives caught Cruz’s debut performance, insiders have insisted that the young singer wants to work his way up through the industry without relying on his family connections.

But his girlfriend was spotted in the crowd and told her social media followers that she cried when her boyfriend began performing.

‘Safe to say I did not keep it together,’ she said.

Taking to Instagram after his show, the model wrote: ‘Unannounced, just working on his craft, doing his little thing, having fun, learning, preparing, all HIS songs made by HIM played by HIM sang by HIM, absolutely smashing it, I love you.’
