Sean Bean left his wife, Ashley Moore, at home as he stepped out with co-star Connie Nielsen at the Robin Hood screening in London – amid his spouse’s hidden health battle.
The wife of the renowned Yorkshire actor, 40, revealed she is a cancer survivor who wrote about getting the all-clear from the disease back in 2020.
She made a rare red carpet appearance with Sean, 66, at the Los Angeles welcome launch of Robin Hood earlier this month.
But on Tuesday, the actor stepped out by himself as he joined his co-stars at the screening event in the English capital.
Celebrating its first official screening in the UK, Bean cut a dapper figure in a grey suit layered over a black shirt.
Bean, whose string of successful TV shows includes Game Of Thrones, Red Riding and Sharpe, takes another prominent role as the Sheriff of Nottingham.

Meanwhile, Connie, 60, turned heads in a long-sleeved leather mini dress that hugged her stunning figure.
She teamed it with sheer black tights and added inches to her slender frame with a pair of black heels.
The pair were joined by an array of co-stars, among them Jack Patten – who takes the lead as the titular Robin – and Lauren McQueen, the new show’s heroine Marian.
Also at the screening were Emma Gojkovic, David Templer, Angus Castle Doughty, and Chris Jenks.
After four failed marriages, Sean almost gave up on lasting love before meeting ‘the one’, his fifth wife Ashley.
But few people are aware that the actor’s spouse, is a cancer survivor who wrote about getting the all-clear from the disease back in 2020.
Sean’s wife of eight years shared black and white photos of herself in a hospital gown smiling her way through treatment after keeping her illness private.
She captioned the post: ‘Many people don’t know the journey I’ve taken. But I’m so proud to be a strong woman and have such strong women supporting me.’

Revealing her hidden battle for the first time Ashley wrote in the comments section: ‘I’m cancer free now too. And loving life and it makes you appreciate everything so much more.’
Ashley has not revealed when she was diagnosed with cancer or what type of cancer she battled.
Sean and Ashley, who wed in 2018, made a rare red carpet appearance at the Los Angeles launch of Robin Hood last week.
Dressed in a tobacco brown suit, the actor certainly looked the part while posing for photos alongside Moore on the red carpet shortly after arriving at the Hollywood venue.
Sean, whose string of successful TV shows includes Game Of Thrones, Red Riding and Sharpe, takes another prominent role as the Sheriff of Nottingham.
The actor exchanged vows with Moore in front of 40 close friends and family members at Axnoller Farm in Dorset in February 2018.
A spokesperson told the Daily Mail at the time: ‘It was predominantly close family and friends; Anna Friel was there, who’s obviously starring with Sean in Broken at the moment.

For years, Sean has remained tight-lipped on her heartbreaking diagnosis in the public eye (pictured together in 2017)

After getting the all-clear and being told she is cancer free, Ashley bravely revealed her hidden battle in a subtle Instagram post to her 13,000 followers in 2020
‘Anna’s daughter Gracie was a bridesmaid and sung them a song, which was Can’t Help Falling In Love by Elvis, and she played that on the guitar as Ashley walked down the aisle. There probably weren’t more than 40 people there.
‘He’s super happy, I’ve never seen him so in love and committed and happy with Ashley. They’re very sweet together.’
Speaking to the Daily Mail’s Girl About Town the previous year, the Game Of Thrones star admitted he was hesitant about the prospect of exchanging vows after four failed marriages.
But his attitude soon changed after meeting Moore, a former nanny who is 26 years his junior.
‘I wasn’t planning on getting married again, but then I wasn’t planning on meeting someone as amazing as Ashley,’ he said.
‘I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together.’
