But on Thursday night Noel Gallagher appeared to have a smile on his face once again as he enjoyed a night out with a lookalike of his ex, an upmarket estate agent named Serena McGivern.
The pair were seen enjoying drinks at the Soho bar Kettner’s where they kicked back and relaxed with a group of friends.
Onlookers watched the pair arrive together.
One told the Mail: ‘Noel and Serena were sat together, looking deep in conversation. Noel had quite a presence when he walked in, with many guests noticing him and Serena together.’

The pair were joined at the exclusive bar, which is popular with celebrities, by Mr Gallagher’s close friend James Cook and his singer girlfriend Emma Deigman and another couple.
Ms McGivern, 52, is listed on Companies House as running a high end property business called Mercury Homesearch which specialises in finding high net individuals lavish houses.
She runs the business with Eton-educated Jeremy McGivern, however it is unclear whether they are still together.
Ms McGivern was seen without her wedding ring on on Thursday. Before she married Mr McGivern, she was known by her maiden name Gordon as a party girl based in Fulham.
Five months ago, Mr Gallagher went out on a double date with Mr Cook and Ms Deigman, this time with lingerie model Charlotte Carter-Allen. The foursome went to upmarket members’ club Maison Estelle and celebrity favourite Chiltern Firehouse.
In January it was revealed that Mr Gallagher had split with Ms McDonald after 22 years together. The couple married in a small ceremony in the New Forest in 2011.
The Oasis star, who has two children Donovan, 15, and Sonny, 12 with her, left the family home in Hampshire to return to London where he bought a mansion in Maida Vale.
Mr Gallagher, who now has a band High Flying Birds, revealed in June how his marriage to Ms McDonald began to collapse during Covid when they ‘grew tired of each other’.

Mr Gallagher told Ireland’s Hot Press magazine: ‘It’s not uncommon for people to get to their fifties and go, well, you know,’ adding that he spent ‘four years on the road’, which contributed to their separation.
‘The silver lining to a very dark cloud being that I actually had some f*****g time off during Covid,’ he said.
‘Although I f*****g hated lockdown, I got to finish off all these songs that I’d half-written and write a load of new ones.
‘Felt fairly s***e both times, but thankfully no complications.’

He also cited that his divorce was the result of a ‘midlife crisis.’
‘When you get to your mid-fifties, you do come to some kind of crossroads in your life. It’s not uncommon for people who have been in long-term relationships to go their separate ways in their fifties.
‘I know a lot of people in the same boat as me and Sara, particularly after the pandemic. The midlife crisis thing is true for men and women.’
Mr Gallagher was previously married to Meg Matthews between 1997 and 2001. They have a daughter Anais, 23, together.
