Ash Pollard has hit out at a brazen thief who targeted her family’s Melbourne home and vehicle this week.
The My Kitchen Rules star, 39, revealed that she woke at 4am on Monday to a car door slamming before speeding off in front of the Malvern home she shares with partner Pete Ferne and their two children Clementine, four, and Claudia, three.
In a since-expired social media post, she revealed that the thief used technology to turn on the lights of Pete’s new ute that was parked in front of the home, and opened the door.
The thief, who was captured on CCTV in front of Ash’s home, stole contents from inside the car, including a set of keys.
‘Me and Pete were like, as if it will happen to us,’ she said.
‘We spent a f*** tonne of money on our security. Not only that, we bought cars that have wizz bang security systems on them.’

The My Kitchen Rules star, 39, revealed that she woke at 4am on Monday morning to a car door slamming and speeding off in front of the Malvern home she shares with partner Pete Ferne and children Clementine, 4, and Claudia, 3
She added that, despite the security measures, police admitted they were ‘chasing their tails’ in the face of technology.
‘But it doesn’t matter. The cops that came over to the house and were like, “we’re chasing our tails here because we are just trying to get ahead of whatever this technology is”,’ she said.
‘They pull up next to the car and they push it and somehow it can get the information from the key fob from inside your house to get the information to unlock your car that is sitting outside the front of your house.’
Ash revealed that she had been unable to sleep in fear that the thief would return to the property.
In the wake of the incident, Ash also revealed she had bought a baseball bat for protection.
‘It is diabolic, the effort to exist in our secure home to keep belongings we worked hard for,’ she said.
‘If they decide to come back, they are not going to have much luck at all, because I am a f***ing psychopath. I just implore you to have a little think, just do not let these low lives get your car.’
Ash took to Instagram again on Thursday to give followers an update on her harrowing ordeal.

She added that the thief wasn’t too concerned with concealing his identity.
‘So, we have the guy’s face – he wasn’t even covered up, so f***ing dumba***,’ she said.
‘Also we’ve got the guy’s fingerprints because he touched our car, he touched the neighbour’s car across the road, so the cops came and took fingerprints and stuff.
‘So, I’m hoping that this total lowlife gets their comeuppance.’

In an Instagram post back in January,, Ash included a gallery of photos of herself and Pete in a romantic setting surrounded by flowers and candles and ‘acting out’ a wedding ceremony.
‘Happy New Year from us! Still unmarried, but forced to act out what a wedding looks like so the kids understand the concept,’ she wrote in the caption.
‘Why did I assume that you were the one holding out?, one of Ash’s followers asked the reality star, adding: ‘[Your] girls would adore being flower girls!’
But Ash was quick to shut down any confusion about the couple’s feelings about wedlock.
‘Hahah! It just really isn’t a priority for either of us. We don’t really even talk about it. Life is good!’ she said.
