Sam Wood has revealed intimate details about his marriage to Snezana Markoski.
The 44-year-old former star of The Bachelor said that the couple turned to therapy to work on their communication skills.
In a revealing confession the fitness entrepreneur said the pair were prone to ‘petty rows’ that left them ‘agitated’.
‘People hear couples counselling, marriage counselling, and they think it’s doom and gloom, but it’s actually about learning communication techniques,’ the father-of-four said on the latest episode of Mamamia’s This Glorious Mess podcast.
Sam went on to say he was initially defensive about seeking but after ‘three or four sessions’ he wanted to continue with couples therapy.
‘They were so calming and so good at getting you to be vulnerable, and so good at letting us speak in turn,’ he continued.

‘Like Snez and I often get agitated. And what starts out with good intent can turn into a bit of a petty argument, and it just never got to that stage, because you’re with other people.’
He said therapy has made their relationship better and described as a ‘proactive, positive experience’.
He shares Willow, six, Charlie, four, and Harper, two, with Snezana,44, as well as her daughter Eve, 19, from a previous relationship.

Located in seaside Brighton, 14kms from the CBD, the beautiful vintage multi-level estate boasts six-bedrooms, a pool and expansive gardens.
However, the Herald Sun reported that the genetically blessed pair have yet to seal the deal on the trophy home.

In 2022 he sold his fitness program – 28 by Sam Wood – to genetics group myDNA for $71million.
The entrepreneur continues to invest in the company and holds a five per cent stake.
He has also amassed a $10 million real estate portfolio including a $4 million home in Elsternwick which he shares with his family.
Sam made his entry into the property market back in 2014, when he purchased a two bedroom 1728 square metre unit in Carnegie’s Koornang Road for $477,500.
In 2017, he snapped up a three-bedroom investment property in Broadford for $295,000 and since then has watched it jump in value to nearly $500,000.
In 2018, around the same time he acquired the Elsternwick property, he also sunk $531,000 into another investment property in Upwey.
