Andy Cohen has said it was ‘the right call’ to ban Ramona Singer from Bravocon amid a racist slur row.
Singer, 66, was removed from the convention lineup after a report claimed she had ‘racial hostility’ and said the N-word when speaking with a Black crew member on the set of season 13 of RHONY.
During an interview with Page Six, Cohen, 55, touched briefly on why dropping Singer from the Las Vegas event was the best thing to do.
‘Well, I mean I think listen, not to dwell on it, but I think if just the events of this week led to her not being here, I think it was the right call, and period dot,’ he told the outlet.
Despite the controversy, Singer will still be appearing on TV screens in the future.

When asked about Ramona’s future on Bravo, Andy said she will still be appearing on the upcoming RHONY: Legacy.
‘Well, I mean, we already shot RHONY Legacy, so you will see her there, yeah,’ he said.
It comes after Andy laughed off the racism and discrimination allegations against Singer in the wake of Vanity Fair’s exposé on Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise
In response to a meme about the publication’s allegation that she used a racial slur during a conversation with a Black crew member while filming RHONY’s 13th season, the late-night host expressed his amusement over the tense situation.
The cheeky post showed a video of a news anchor canoeing out of a flood as she cheerfully told viewers: ‘Good morning! Well, obviously, we’re getting a nice break from the rain but not the flooding.’
The meme account added the words ‘Vanity Fair’ above her, while labeling ‘Bravo viewers’ as the two unfazed civilians that just walk straight by her.
Under the footage, uploaded by the account @watchwhatcrappens, the dad-of-two dropped a single cry-laughing emoji.

Under his reply, one fan blasted him by writing: ‘Do better. Laughing at racism as long as it’s not about you?’
Another showed their unconditional support for the Bravo host as they said they ‘still love’ him and the network.
‘F**k the hater,’ the superfan added.
Others mused over the fact that ‘Vanity Fair really thought’ their exposé was full of ‘extraordinary new information’ despite Bravo fans claiming to have already known ‘everything in the article.’
One Bravo viewers scoffed that it was comical for the outlet and reality stars that came forward to be ‘so proud of themselves like they were f**king Woodward and Bernstein.’
Singer has denied allegations she used the N-word to refer to a Black member of The Real Housewives of New York City’s production staff.
The reality star, who was axed from Bravocon over the allegations, also said she’s ‘always liked fellow housewife Eboni Williams’ – who claimed she was going to quit over Singer’s alleged racist slurs.

On Tuesday, the reality TV star, 66, was also fired from her job as a real estate agent at Douglas Elliman.
However, sources close to Singer claim this issue was investigated by the Bravo show’s production company in 2021 and she was cleared to continue to work on the series, per TMZ.

A report from Page Six claims that the results of that investigation were ‘inconclusive’ and she was cleared in good faith as a result.

The Vanity Fair expose also reported on an alleged off-camera interaction between Williams and Singer after Luann De Lesseps stormed out of the room.
‘Ramona slammed her hands on the table,’ Williams said. ‘She goes, ‘This is why we didn’t need Black people on the show…. This is gonna ruin our show.”
Singer emailed the publication to tell her side of the story.
She said that interaction ‘absolutely’ did not happen.
‘In fact, I supported adding diverse cast members well before Eboni was added,’ she claimed.
