Reese Witherspoon’s fans can’t believe how handsome the son she had with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe, 51, is.
The beauty took to Instagram on Thursday to wish her boy a happy 22nd birthday.
‘Happy 22 to my wonderful son @deaconphillippe,’ the 49-year-old actress wrote in her caption, which accompanied four photos.
One image showed the New York University student behind DJ decks and the following three were rare snapshots of the Little Fires Everywhere star and Deacon together.
She continued in the birthday note, ‘I love you so much, buddy,’ as her son replied in the comments: ‘Love u mama ❤️.’
Deacon also shared photos of himself on as followers said, ‘So hot’ and ‘What a handsome man he has become.’

And the Cruel Intentions actor shared a tribute to his son as well, writing via Instagram Stories: ‘Happy Birthday @deaconphillippe My (not so) little legend. Ain’t nobody quite like you.’
Reese’s celebrity friend Maria Shriver shared well wishes in Reese’s comments, writing, ‘Happy happy so fun to be a boy mom.’
In addition to her son, the filmmaker also shares 26-year-old daughter Ava Phillippe with her ex-husband.
Ava gave her brother a birthday shoutout via Instagram Stories on Thursday, sharing a black and white photo of them with the abbreviation ‘HBD.’
Following her divorce in 2008, the Sweet Home Alabama star went on to marry Jim Toth in 2011.
They welcomed son Tennessee, who turned 13 on September 27, in 2012.
The mother-of-three filed for divorce from Jim in March 2023, and has since moved on with German financier Oliver Haarmann.
Her older children have followed in their parents’ footsteps, entering the world of show business and entertainment.
Deacon studies music at NYU, and most recently released a song and music video, called Japan, in June.

Deacon has also appeared onscreen alongside his dad in the 2025 Prime Video series Motorheads.
For her part, Ava studied social welfare at UC Berkley before graduating in 2022 and becoming a model.
‘My parents have always encouraged me to choose the path that’s right for me and, you know, guide me along the way to make better choices than I might make,’ the nepo baby told Daily Pop in 2021.
‘I’m so grateful for that. That is such a privilege to have parents that support you in that way and want you to be who you truly are meant to be,’ she added.
The burgeoning actress made her television debut as Veronica in Doctor Odyssey earlier this year.
And in July she announced that she’d landed her first lead role in an upcoming romantic comedy.
