Michelle Williams ignites the internet with a side-splitting recording from Britney Spears’ audiobook, displaying her spot-on impression of Justin Timberlake’s cringe-worthy attempt at impersonating a Black individual: “Fo-shiz fo-shiz, what’s up homie!”

Britney Spears has recounted the cringeworthy way her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake put on an accent in a bid to impress Black musicians in her newly-released memoir – with actress Michelle Williams setting the internet alight thanks to her mocking impersonation on the audio book.

The Oscar-nominated actress, 43 was tapped up to narrate Spears’ tell-all book, The Woman in Me, in which the singer accuses Timberlake of trying ‘too hard’ to fit in with Black musicians during his time in *NSYNC.

Spears, 41, recounted one such occasion in 1999 when they bumped into R&B singer, Ginuwine – prompting Timberlake, now 42, to speak with a ‘blaccent’ which Spears clearly felt was inauthentic.

A ‘Blaccent’ – a combination of the words ‘black’ and ‘accent’ – is when a non-Black person imitates Black English, also known as African American Vernacular English (AAVE).

Spears writes: ‘His band, NSYNC, was what people back then called “so pimp.” They were white boys, but they loved hip-hop. To me that’s what separated them from the Backstreet Boys, who seemed very consciously to position themselves as a white group.

‘NSYNC hung out with Black artists. Sometimes I thought they tried too hard to fit in.’

Speaking about the encounter with Ginuwine, she continued: ‘Walking our way was a guy with a huge, blinged-out medallion. He was flanked by two giant security guards.

‘J got all excited and said, so loud, “Oh yeah, fo shiz, fo shiz! Ginuwiiiiiine! What’s up, homie?”‘

She continued: ‘After Ginuwine walked away, [Spears’ personal assistant] Felicia did an impression of J…  J wasn’t even embarrassed. He just took it and looked at her like, “Okay, f**k you, Fe.”‘

Williams’ unexpected impression of the anecdote was quickly picked up online, with some jokingly branding it ‘art’.

One Twitter user wrote: ‘Britney writing about Justin’s blaccent and Michelle Williams imitating it is HYSTERICAL. I am in shambles.’

Another commented: ‘(white) Michelle Williams doing an impression of Britney doing an impression of Justin Timberlake doing an impression of a Black person – this is art.’

‘Not Michelle Williams, a yt woman, narrating a book of Britney Spears, another yt woman, recalling Justin Timberlake, another yt man, using blaccent,’ posted a third.

Many delighted at hearing Williams – a critically-acclaimed actress – doing an impression they never expected from her.

One commented: ‘I cannot believe we are living in a reality where Michelle Williams saying foshiz exists.’

Another wrote: ‘Five time academy award nominee Michelle Williams saying “fo-shiz fo-shiz what’s up homie!” is art.’

‘The JT anecdote, the Britney retelling, the Michelle Williams performance — I was not ready for a single aspect of this,’ added another.

Others immediately called for the star to receive awards for her work, with one person tweeting: ‘Give Michelle Williams whatever the Oscar is for audiobooks.’

Another fan wrote: ‘Okay but now I need this book turned into a movie, and I need Michelle Williams to play Justin Timberlake.’

‘I never had any real opinions on Michelle Williams before but I bet she’s incredibly fun to hang out with,’ another Twitter user added. ‘Nailing the mockery of Justin Timberlake like this suggests she’s a 15/10 sarcastic mimic.’

Williams previously voiced her support of Spears when it was revealed that she would narrate the audio version of the memoir, telling People: ‘I stand with Britney.’

It had been reported that only female stars were approached to record the tell-all, with the publisher originally aiming to get actress Reese Witherspoon – who was not ‘available.’

Spears herself recorded a small portion of the book – but avoided narrating chapters about her family as the content was ‘too painful to retell,’ TMZ claimed.

‘This book has been a labor of love and all the emotions that come with it,’ she previously told People.

‘Reliving everything has been exciting, heart-wrenching, and emotional, to say the least. For those reasons, I will only be reading a small part of my audiobook.’

She added: ‘I am so grateful to the amazing Michelle Williams for reading the rest of it.’

The explosive memoir sees Spears open up about getting an abortion aged 19 after falling pregnant during her relationship with Timberlake.

The Womanizer singer also claims her ex cheated on her with a celebrity and ended their relationship by text in a two-word message.

Spears also admits she did cheat with choreographer Wade Robson.
