Jelly Roll’s wife Bunnie Xo broke her silence after the country star opened up about his regret for cheating on her.
The 40-year-old singer recently got candid on the topic on the Human School podcast and said, ‘one of the worst moments of my adulthood was when I had an affair on my wife.’
Following the podcast appearance, social media users offered their thoughts on the singer’s comments on Bunnie’s latest post on Instagram.
She jumped to her Instagram stories on Thursday to share a screenshot of one message from a fan which read: ‘Oh my dear. Your husband had an affair on you. You took him back and have sung perfection since.
‘I’m super bummed. We can’t look up to you now. Where are your friends. How can anyone support this? Dear lord provide bunny the strength to hop away.’
Bunnie chose to respond and penned, ‘It actually takes a stronger woman to face pain head-on, do the work, and rebuild with the man she loves – instead of running or gossiping.’

The star added, ‘Growth isn’t weakness, it’s grace. But not everyone’s built for that kind of strength. I pray you never have to feel that pain bc you’re judging another woman’s life.’
Another Instagram user had written, ‘You got cheated on & still stayed with him,’ followed by laughing emojis.
The media personality replied with, ‘tell me you’ve never had someone really love you without telling me.’
Bunnie also hinted in a separate slide that she will give further details about the singer’s affair in her upcoming memoir Stripped Down: Unfiltered And Unapologetic – which is set to hit shelves on February 11, 2026.
The Son Of A Sinner hitmaker tied the knot with Bunnie – whose real name is Alyssa DeFord – in 2016. The lovebirds renewed their vows two years earlier in 2023.

He continued, ‘Because it was the first time that I was like, “I really can’t get this right at all. I know I’m in love with this woman.” It just really, really, really blew me back.’
He explained that he ‘did a lot of work to repair’ his relationship with his wife and added that the ‘repair has been special.’

‘We are stronger than we could have ever been,’ Jelly Roll told the podcast host. ‘I wish our story would’ve went in the way that it never had an affair.
‘I am in no way glad it happened. But man, I am proud of who we are today. You know what I mean? I truly am.’
The performer also reflected on surrounding himself with ‘a bunch of people that were cheating on their wives’ at the time of his own infidelity.
‘When I was doing cocaine, I was hanging around a bunch of people that were doing cocaine. When I was drinking a lot, I was hanging around people who were drinking a lot.’
The star added, ‘I used to be proud of long-standing friendships just because they had a number attached to them. Horrible humans.
‘But I would just be proud to say, “That dude’s been with me 12 years.” S****y human.’
However, the country singer explained that by then, he wanted to surround himself with friends that helped him to be a better person.
‘I wanted to be friends with people I wanted to be like,’ Jelly Roll expressed.

While details of the singer’s affair is not known, both he and Bunnie briefly separated back in 2018.
She referenced to the split in a TikTok video uploaded last year that showed the pair posing for sweet photos.
The media personality added text over the short reel which read: ‘Who knew that us breaking up in 2018, me moving back to Vegas & you coming to get me back – would have put us on this wild journey called life.
‘We finally committed to each other & did everything we promised each other the first night in 2016.’
Bunnie concluded with, ‘Our castle in the sand had to crumble so we could rebuild on solid ground. I yuh you so mushhh.’
Back in 2023, the couple exchanged vows once again in Las Vegas at the same chapel they initially said ‘I do’ in 2016.
The pair first crossed paths in 2015 and became friends due to Bunnie being in a relationship at the time. However, following her breakup – she and Jelly Roll sparked up a romance.
