Amy Schumer showcases her legs in a white shirtdress at Glenn Close’s Bring Change to Mind gala, advocating against mental illness stigma, following her defense of Israel on social media.

Amy Schumer highlighted her legs while rocking a striking shirtdress as she hit the red carpet for the Bring Change to Mind gala on Monday.

The 42-year-old comedienne and actress was joining the organization’s co-founder Glenn Close and other stars for the organization’s 11th Revels and Revelations event, which raised funds for mental health treatment and to combat stigma.

Amy was one of the evening’s two headline performers, along with Reba McEntire, while Ryan Reynolds was on hand to be honored with the seventh annual Robin Williams Legacy of Laughter Award.

The Trainwreck star’s appearance comes in the wake of multiple social media posts she shared defending Israel as it launches rocket strikes and ground assaults on the occupied Gaza Strip after Hamas militants launched a bloody assault into Israel.

As of Monday, around 900 people have been killed within Israel, while over 680 people have been killed inside Gaza, according to the Associated Press.

Amy stuck to an elegant all-white ensemble for her appearance at the gala.

She had on a silky white shirt dress, which made it look as if she simply forgot to wear pants to the event.

The long-sleeve item was slightly unbuttoned at the top and only reached down to the top of her thighs.

The 5ft7in star also elevated her stature with a pair of matching white open-toe heels with, which strapped around her ankles.

She appeared to skip other accessories for a minimalist look, and she styled her blond hair up in a bun with strands dangling on the sides to frame her modestly made-up face.

Schumer also cozied up to the event’s organizer, Glenn Close, along with Debbie Stabenow, the US senator from Michigan. Schumer is first cousins, once removed, with Stabenow’s senate colleague, the Democratic majority leader Chuck Schumer.

Close looked chic in a black suit, while Stabenow wore a black ensemble with a glittering long coat.

In addition to performances from Amy and Reba McEntire, the Bring Change to Mind gala featured supporting entertainment from Wayne Brady, Jake Wesley Rogers and Jayli Wolf.

Glenn founded Bring Change to Mind in 2010 with her sister Jessie Close and her nephew Calen Pick, both of whom had struggled with mental illness and had experienced the stigma against people with mental health issues.

Their organization now works with students in 42 states to identify the causes of mental health stigma and to help eradicate the discrimination.

In recent days, Amy has been posting in favor of Israel as it launches a massive counter attack against the Gaza Strip — which it has occupied since 1967 — and Hamas militants after they launched surprise attacks within Israel.

The militants are reportedly holding more than 130 hostages, including Israeli soldiers and civilians.

‘Jewish people are the only group not allowed to defend themselves,’ Amy added while reposting others’ sentiments. ‘This has nothing to do with the occupation. Hamas don’t want end to occupation, They want to eradicate Israel. They’re funded by Iran, who are trying to destroy the peace deal.’

It’s unclear if she was referring to a recent Wall Street Journal report claiming that Iran had helped Hamas plan the attacks against Israel over several weeks.

However, both the White House and Israeli officials have disputed the report and say that there is currently no evidence that Iran had any connection to the attacks, according to The Guardian.
