Jeannie Mai and estranged husband Jeezy ‘still residing together post-surprising divorce filing, with limited interaction’

Jeannie Mai and her estranged husband Jay ‘Jeezy’ Jenkins are still living together in the same house even after his shock divorce filing following two years of marriage, according to a new report.

TMZ reports that while the former couple are still residing together in Georgia, they barely interact with one another.

The few times they do interact with one another is whenever they cross paths leaving or returning home. 

While they hardly speak to one another, they still share one priority – their one-year-old daughter Monaco. 

Jeey, 46, filed for divorce from Jeannie, 44, earlier this month, with People reporting the paperwork had been filed in Georgia’s Fulton County Superior Court.

After the divorce news broke, Jeannie was rumored to have cheated on Jeezy with fellow TV host Mario Lopez.

However, sources have told TMZ there is no truth to that rumor.

The Lopez speculation seems to have stemmed from her gig as co-host alongside the Saved By the Bell alum earlier this month on Access Hollywood.

However, the chemistry fans picked up between them is just their playful banter and friendship – not anything salacious.  

Lopez has – by all accounts – been happily married to his wife Courtney Mazza for 11 years. The couple shares daughter Gia, 13, and sons Dominic, 10, and Santino, four.

Mai is reportedly ‘devastated’ her husband filed for divorce. 

‘The truth is Jeannie wants her marriage to work, and wants her family to be one solid unit,’ a source told Page Six last week.

‘She deeply loves Jeezy, and she wants to work things out. She did not get married to get divorced. This was not a part of the plan. This is not how she ever imagined things would go down.’

A source told Page Six on Thursday: ‘Even though Jeezy has filed, Jeannie is holding out hope that he would be willing to sit down and works things [out]. She is hoping for a resolution and wants to remain as a united family unit’ (pictured September 11)

The South Carolina-born father-of-four told the Fulton County Superior Court in legal docs that they’re ‘currently living in a bona fide state of separation’ and their marriage is ‘irretrievably broken’ with ‘no hope for reconciliation’ – according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Jeezy – who has a prenuptial agreement with the San Jose native – is asking for joint legal custody of their 20-month-old daughter Monaco Mai Jenkins, who already has 215K Instagram followers.

Earlier this month, the Snofall rapper coldly captioned a snap of himself posing next a luxurious Maybach car: ‘Too focused on who I’m becoming to focus on who’s not coming with me.’

But as recent as September 6, Jeannie praised Jeezy’s ‘strength and wisdom’ after his new memoir Adversity for Sale landed on the New York Times bestsellers list.

‘This moment isn’t just a testament to your literary skills baby, but a recognition of your ability to inspire through the power of storytelling,’ Mai – who boasts 5.5M social media followers – gushed on Instagram.
