Helen Flanagan Hits Out at Ex Scott Sinclair Over Holiday Co-Parenting Issues

Helen Flanagan has taken a fresh swipe at her ex Scott Sinclair as she admitted their co-parenting arrangement is ‘rubbish’ as she won’t have her children this Christmas.

The former Coronation Street star, 34, shares Matilda, 10, they share Delilah, seven, and Charlie, four with the footballer, who she split from in 2022 after 13 years together.

Speaking to The Mirror at the Pride of Britain Awards on Monday night Helen appeared deflated as she discussed this year’s arrangements for Christmas.

She explained: ‘So I have to co-parent, which is really rubbish. I don’t think anyone enjoys it, well I definitely don’t. But I think you have got to be fair.

‘My children’s father,  I live very north of Manchester and he lives in Bath so it’s not like we can co-parent like when you’re in the same city. So we take it in turns.’

Helen candidly confessed she isn’t looking forward to it as she continued: ‘Which I’m not looking forward to it to be honest with you.

‘It’s also really unnatural when you’re a mum and you don’t have your kids for Christmas. But it’s just a day and I have signed myself up to panto.’

Helen will be taking to the stage at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool to play the Evil Queen in this year’s production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

‘I’m the Evil Queen of Liverpool! That’ll keep me really busy,’ she added.

She will spend Christmas day itself with her parents and brother and his wife and her nephew as she revealed she will have her children for New Years.

It isn’t the first time Helen has taken a swipe at Scott after she took a savage dig at him earlier this month claiming she would rather ‘drown’ than get back with him.

Taking to Instagram, the mother of three shared the hilarious clip which saw a person jumping into the rough sea, reading: ‘Get back with the father of your kids or drown.’

The post came barely a few days after the soap star shared a funny meme clip, from a page called @pettycoparenting101, which read: ‘You can’t just go around calling your kids’ dad a b****.’

The hilarious ‘reaction’ to it was a clip of American rapper Usher dancing around.

She explained: 'So I have to co-parent, which is really rubbish. I don't think anyone enjoys it, well I definitely don't. But I think you have got to be fair'

Among the exes drama, Helen issued a cryptic warning as she prepares to release a tell-all book just earlier this month.

The beauty shot to fame as Rosie in the Cobbles in 2000 and has never left the limelight since.

She has also faced struggles with her mental health and suffered a psychotic breakdown due to a bad reaction to medication.

And Helen has vowed to reveal everything with no ‘airbrushing’ of what has really happened during her life, in one of the latest book releases from the Mirror.

Speaking ahead of its release in January, Helen told the publication: ‘I was going to have to revisit painful times, digging deep into experiences I’d have much rather left buried in the past.’

She added: I’ve made mistakes, I’ve been hurt and I’ve had to rebuild from rock bottom, but I’ve also learned, grown and come out the other side a better, stronger person.

‘Telling my truth meant no hiding – no glossing over or airbrushing.’

Helen and Scott split in 2022 after being together for 13 years and at the time Helen said ‘I don’t see it as a break-up, I see it as a divorce’ due to having been together for so long, and having children together.

Looking back Helen admitted that she did not process her emotions properly and focused on work whilst navigating ‘survival mode’.

Helen concluded: ‘When you’re 19 you can go out in Manchester and come home with a boyfriend a few days later, but I’m 35 now, I’m not really going to go on a night out am I, really?’

Last month, the beauty suffered a ‘breakdown’ and claimed she ‘f***ing hates co-parenting’ in an emotional Instagram post.

While sobbing into the camera, Helen said: ‘I really, really struggle. I really struggle when they go away and I only like them going away if I’m doing something… I’m suffering really badly with anxiety at the moment’.
