Married at First Sight’s Eliot Donovan has opened the floodgates on what really went down behind-the-scenes with bride Rhi Disljenkovic amid bed-swapping speculation.
The business owner, 35, and account manager, 34, are set to rock the boat on the reality series during an upcoming partner swap episode, with rumours suggesting the pair slept in the same bed together despite Eliot claiming he stayed on the couch.
Daily Mail Australia understands it was Jacqui Burfoot who let the cat out of the bag, causing drama both on and off screen.
While he refused to comment on the rumours about the looming fiasco directly, Eliot branded the leak ‘malicious’, saying it was meant to hurt people.
He insisted everything that happened during the upcoming swap, which saw him be briefly paired with Rhi, was ‘above board’ and no one was left out of the loop.

Eliot then went on to address speculation his wife Veronica Cloherty was ‘playing it up for cameras’ after their recently-aired argument over his confession letters caused a stir online.
‘I don’t think she was, personally. The time we had together on the honeymoon, it felt very real,’ he said, confessing his feelings for his wife were genuine.
However, he admitted he would feel ‘pretty silly’ if she had been faking it.
He went on to blame her criticism of him struggling to open up on her ‘secret meeting with Lauren’, which he was blindsided by weeks later.
‘I was very confused through the whole thing,’ he said, saying the conversation felt ‘forced’ and she had already made up her mind about him before it even began.
He described his wife as ‘up and down’ when the cameras weren’t rolling, adding she was a ‘completely different person’ during the honeymoon.
On Tuesday, Veronica dramatically stormed out on her husband Eliot after they participated in the Expert Crash course—designed to ‘fast-track’ the new couple’s relationships.
The personal trainer was left with more than a few concerns about her groom after she had a conversation with Eliot’s former bride Lauren Dunn, who branded Eliot a ‘narcissist’.

The couple were then faced with a Confessions Letter task which required them to write a letter to their partner detailing their most significant relationship or life experience.
‘I feel like Veronica wants vulnerability,’ Eliot said to camera as the pair began jotting down their confessions.
‘I’ve never been someone that’s been overly emotional or vulnerable but I definitely have a willingness to be vulnerable. One hundred per cent.’
Eliot then read the contents of his confession letter in which he detailed his sister falling into a diabetic coma when he was just nine-years-old.
Admitting he had never told anybody the story before, Eliot added it was his father’s calmness in the face of the tragedy which made him who he is today.
‘Dad’s strength and stoicism set us on a path forward,’ he shared. ‘The impact this memory has on me is I never want to be overwhelmed by emotion.
‘I feel like this is relevant to you and to our relationship in this experiment, and why I may appear guarded sometimes.’
However, Eliot’s confession did not sit well with Veronica who claimed the story did little to reveal anything about Eliot.

Eliot also addressed speculation his wife Veronica Cloherty was ‘playing it up for cameras’ after their recently-aired argument over his confession letters caused a stir online
‘This was the perfect opportunity for him to just tell me something, anything, and he chose nothing,’ she said to producers.
‘I know that his mum cried, that his sister has diabetes and that his dad is a stoic emotionless man.
She continued: ‘I don’t think he has the cap to either look at himself or think about his life in a way that’s more than surface level. He cant find it within him to give me anything more.’
Following the task, the mood became noticeably chilly in the apartment, and quickly boiled over after Eliot pressed his bride on why she was upset.
Doubling down on her earlier comments, Veronica said: ‘The story is about something traumatic that happened to someone else. You didn’t talk about your own feelings about the event.’
Eliot protested with: ‘I’ve just shared something deeply personal to me that had a huge impact on my life and your taking that and saying that’s not enough for me.’
Clearly not moved by Eliot’s words, Veronica shot back saying she was not interested in having a debate with her groom.
‘You are not listening to what I’m saying,’ she said. ‘Therefore this conversation’s over. I’m done.’
With that, Veronica proceeded to pack a bag and prepare to leave the apartment.
‘Are you going?’ Eliot replied, to which Veronica said, ‘What does it look like?’ before storming out.
She did return later in the episode to hash it out on the couch but it appears the damage has been done with the conversation again devolving into an argument before Veronica stormed of
f again.
‘I’ve had enough. Good luck Eliot,’ she said as she left the room.
