Fans are going crazy over rumours pop princess Chappell Roan may be coming to Australia, but is there any credibility behind the speculation?

The Pink Pony Club hitmaker, 27, has had a successful year of music, nabbing the Best New Artist gong at the 2025ย Grammyย Awards in February and topping the Billboard and Triple J charts in 2024.

Now, after announcing her new single The Giver from her upcoming new album, fans are wondering when she’ll bring her fresh tunes to the Aussie stage.

Chappell last toured Australia in November 2023, just before she was thrust into superstardom, bringing the radio-topping hits from her 2023 album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.ย

On TikTok, fans who attended the tour alleged that the pop star told concertgoers, ‘see you next year’, which saw them disappointed when we ticked over into 2025 with no Chappell Roan tour announcement.

However, more recently, Chappell gushed about Australia on the MTV VMAS red carpet last September, saying she ‘loved’ the country, and hinted at an Aussie tour date on the horizon.

Rumours are swirling that pop princess Chappell Roan is heading to Australia in 2025

When asked by NOVA radio host Smallzy whether she had any plans to visit Australia, she replied: ‘Oh, yes darling. I’m gonna come. I’m coming. We’re planning.’

While a tour down under is yet to be announced, eagle-eyed fans have pointed out that there’s some space in the artist’s tour calendar that could see her travel to the southern hemisphere this year.ย

The songstress will be headlining Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona in June, as well as a number of shows across Europe in August. However, no other shows have been announced for 2025.

A few weeks ago, Chappell was praised by fans for her hard-hitting acceptance speech as she accepted the Best New Artist gong at the 2025 Grammys.

The Casual hitmaker called on record labels to improve their treatment of artists by ‘paying their healthcare and a liveable wage,’ earning a sea of praise from fans on social media.ย ย

Taking to the stage to accept her award, Chappell began by thanking her family, friends and management team, before detailing the struggles she faced when she was dropped by her first record label at a young age.

The star admitted she felt ‘dehumanised’ following her treatment by her first label, and called on labels to offer better ‘protection’ to their clients by paying them a decent wage and health insurance.

She said: ‘I told myself that if I ever won a Grammy and got to stand up here before the most powerful people in music, I would demand that labels in the industry profiting millions of dollars off of artists would offer a livable wage and health care, especially developing artists.

‘If my label had prioritised it, I could have been provided care for a company I was giving everything to.

‘As I got signed so young, I got signed as a minor. When I got dropped, I had zero job experience under my belt, and like most people, I had โ€ฆ quite a difficult time finding a job in the pandemic and [could not] afford insurance.’

ย ‘It was devastating to feel so committed to my art and feel so betrayed by the system and dehumanised.

‘Record labels need to treat their artists as valuable employees with a livable wage and health insurance and protection.’

Chappell ended her speech by declaring: ‘Labels, we got you, but do you got us?’ earning a huge cheer from the crowd at the Crypto.com Arena.
