Abbie Chatfield hits back at trolls who slammed her for admitting rock star boyfriend Adam Hyde arranges her yoghurt in the fridge: ‘Men are angry’

Abbie Chatfield has hit back at hurtful trolls who slammed her after she admitted her rockstar boyfriend Adam Hyde arranges her yoghurt for her.

The 29-year-old reality TV star shared a clip to TikTok in which she launched an extraordinary spray against the nasty comments which claimed she was contributing less to the relationship than Adam.

‘Men are angry in my comment section because I uploaded a video saying my boyfriend ordered my yoghurts for me in the fridge by date, so I would know what order to eat them in,’ Abbie began.

‘The men in the comments were going, “it goes both ways, what do you do for him? Get off your a**e.”

‘The reason why you haven’t seen content from him saying all the things I do for him, like, “Abbie made the bed” is because if he posted that the reactions would be, “yeah, okay… boring. What’s new, women doing a lot of domestic labour.”

She added she posted the content to help women understand both partners should be contributing equally in a relationship.

‘Men more often than not, when they are called out for not contributing equally, say “you are nagging me”. On average, when a woman marries a man they gain seven hours of domestic labour a week,’ Abbie added.

She added she hoped her clip would present the other side of the issue and help people understand how important it was that men helped out around the house.

It comes after Abbie shared the sweet Valentine’s Day tribute her boyfriend Adam made for her, in which he promised to love her ‘forever’.

The presenter posted to Instagram Stories on Friday to celebrate the occasion, first re-posting Adam’s social media message for her.

Alongside a photo of the pair cuddled up, Adam wrote: ‘I love this girl more than words can explain. Every day is romance’.

In a second post, Abbie shared an image of the note Adam had sent her along with a bunch of red roses.

‘You make every day a gift. To watch you grow whilst maintaining your true character is my finest joy (among a fusillade of a million other beautiful things all to do with you that won’t fit on this tiny note)’ he wrote on a typed page.

‘I’m proud to be yours. I’m proud that you are mine. Forever. I love you more than you could ever know Abbie.’

A moved Abbie added in her caption: ‘Sobbing. Don’t settle for a Happy V Day message’.

Abbie has not been afraid to sing her love for Adam Hyde from the rooftops since the pair when public with their relationship last year.

She joined Adam on stage for his band Peking Duk’s year-ending set at the Hindley St Music Hall in Adelaide on New Year’s Eve.

The couple were not afraid to pack on the PDA for thousands of fans who had gathered to ring in 2025 as they showed off their affections for one another.

Abbie also hammed it up with Adam’s Peking Duk bandmate Reuben Styles on stage as they playfully ran at each other and bumped chests in front of the crowds.

She proved to be a huge hit with fans as many concertgoers also held up their phones with her name printed across the screens.

Later Abbie shared a photo to her social media that showed Adam carrying her off stage as she kissed him on the forehead.

Abbie’s fans were quick to take to the comments section to gush over her and Adam’s blossoming relationship.
