Millie Mackintosh Responds After Ex-Professor Green Reveals They’ve Reconnected

Millie Mackintosh has made a pointed remark after her ex-husband Professor Green revealed they’re back in touch following their acrimonious divorce.

The ex-couple married in 2013 but divorced in 2016 after just three years.

However, Professor Green revealed earlier this week that he and Millie are now back in touch almost a decade later, saying how he doesn’t hold any ‘resentment’ towards her.

Now, Millie has made a pointed remark on her official Instagram to her 1.3million followers.

On Wednesday, she reposted a quote that read: ‘There’s only one thing more precious than our time…

‘And it’s who we spend it on.’

Millie’s post comes after she posted a teary selfie on her social media as she detailed her mental health struggles.

She started her honest post writing: ‘A little reintroduction to some new faces and a thank you to those who have been on this journey with me from the start.’

Millie also shared a short video of her preparing lunch as she said: ‘Hi I’m Millie, let me reintroduce myself.’

Along with snaps reflecting on her rise to fame on Made In Chelsea, her passion for fitness and lifestyle content, and her journey to sobriety, Millie shared insight into her struggles with anxiety, depression and ADHD, by posting a tearful selfie.

The post was captioned: ‘I speak openly about my experiences with anxiety, ADHD and depression, because I know how much it helps to hear you’re not alone.’

Professor Green had revealed he was back in touch with Millie during a candid podcast interview with her friend Jamie Laing for his Great Company podcast.

The rapper, whose real name is Stephen Manderson, told Jamie he and Millie both ‘trauma bonded’ together over their previously undiagnosed ADHD.

He explained: ‘If there wasn’t that pressure, we may have never got married. It very nearly didn’t happen.

‘I remember having a conversation with my two best mates, Lewis and Phoenix. “Am I getting cold feet? What’s going on here?” And one of them said yes. One of them said, No. I won’t put him in it, because it’s not their responsibility.

‘I made my own decision. We made our decision, and we didn’t get married for the wrong reasons. We loved each other.

‘It was probably an element of trauma bonding. And it takes a lot to get to a place of going, “I had a significant part in that, 50% at least, because there were two of us in the situation, and it didn’t work out.”

‘But hopefully we can both go forward and find happiness and belonging.’

He also called his ex-wife ‘beautiful’ as he added: ‘There’s no resentment in me. She is gorgeous. We were not good for each other at that time.’

Millie and Green finalised their divorce in May 2016, the same week that Millie chose to go public with Hugo Taylor, her former Made In Chelsea co-star boyfriend.

They got engaged on the Greek island of Mykonos the following year, and tied the knot in Sussex in June 2018. They welcomed daughter Sienna in 2020 and daughter Aurelia the following year.

Speaking on Brogan Garrit-Smith’s podcast Getting There earlier this year, Millie said she went through ‘a really hard time’ when she divorced.

‘I think we [Professor Green] both were in our own struggles, and I think we maybe both thought we could fix each other,’ she reflected of her marriage. ‘But we couldn’t.’

‘And ultimately, we both had our own struggles, and it just magnified it. And it was actually quite toxic.’
