JoJo Siwa’s new Australian girlfriend Kath Ebbs has shut down longstanding rumours the Dance Moms star, 21, is a Trump supporter.
The 27-year-old content creator, who goes by they/she pronouns, told Daily Mail Australia on Tuesday she ‘would never date’ someone whose political values didn’t align with her own.
On the eve of Donald Trump’s inauguration as the 47th president of the United States, Kath posted a poll to Instagram Stories that reignited old rumours about JoJo’s political affiliation.
‘Putting together a project and want to know your opinion,’ Kath captioned a barefaced selfie taken in JoJo’s $4m Tarzana mansion in California, where they are currently living.
‘Can you have a relationship with someone with opposing political views?’
The Sydney-born artist later clarified the poll ‘has nothing to do with my relationship with JoJo, at all.’

‘I’m launching a new show (podcast format) in a month, with a co-host and needed responses for a topic we are discussing on it,’ Kath told Daily Mail Australia.
‘PS I would never date someone whose values didn’t align with mine.’
Sydney-born Kath recently confirmed she’s in a relationship with the Karma singer, who she was first spotted with in November.
Kath’s post quickly rekindled old – and never confirmed – rumours about JoJo being a closeted Trump supporter.
The American TikToker has never publicly addressed how she votes.
But some people continue to believe JoJo voted for Donald Trump on the basis that she previously followed him on X, and in 2021, dated TikToker Katie Mills, who was forced to publicly apologise for sharing pro-Trump messaging and transphobic rhetoric online.
JoJo’s many fans and haters took to the comments on Kath’s most recent anti-Trump TikTok on Monday, to probe the Neighbours actor and vocal queer activist for more information.
‘Aren’t you dating… a Trump supporter,’ one person asked.
Kath Ebbs, who began dating JoJo Siwa last November, said the poll they posted to Instagram about ‘opposing political views’ has nothing to do with the Dance Moms star
But Kath also seemingly confirmed JoJo Siwa did not vote for Trump on Monday
To which Kath, who is best friends with Abbie Chatfield, replied: ‘Wouldn’t even be friends with one.’
Back in September, JoJo praised Taylor Swift for endorsing Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election, but made it clear she had no plans to publicly endorse either candidate.
‘I think it’s cool that [Swift] is strong enough in her beliefs that she’s brave enough to share them,’ she said.
‘Cause I think that’s a scary thing. It’s not for everybody to do and that’s okay.’
The singer confessed she didn’t feel well-versed enough in the subject to have an opinion.
JoJo was hounded by a paparazzi outside a restaurant in West Hollywood in September.
‘Do you think every liberal democrat should take home a migrant to show their support for open borders?’ he asked her.
‘I don’t know what language you just spoke, but that is above my pay grade,’ JoJo responded, later calling the question ‘bizarre.’
As Kath shares behind-the-scenes clips of JoJo Siwa at home, being silly without TV cameras to perform for, people are responding more positively to her.

Kath used an iconic scene from Summer Heights Heigh featuring Mr G. as the sound for a TikTok video montage of JoJo dancing and performing around the house, without knowing Kath was filming.
‘I love seeing JoJo through your eyes!’ one user commented. ‘Completely changed my perception of her.’
‘Why does everyone hate her?’ another asked. ‘Honestly, she’s so funny.’
‘I’m living for genuine JoJo,’ said a third. ‘She suits an Aussie misso.’
