Guy Sebastian suffers shocking injury during Japan family snow trip – forcing him to miss out on skiing

Guy Sebastian has sustained a serious injury during his family ski holiday in Japan.

The Australian singer, 43, is currently on a fun-filled winter vacation with his wife Jules and their two children, Hudson, 12, and Archer, 10.

But it seems the Battle Scars hitmaker will have to admire the snow from the base of the mountain after suffering a nasty leg injury.

On Sunday, Jules took to Instagram to share that Guy had torn his calf muscle while skiing, mentioning that he won’t be taking to the slopes any time soon.

‘He’s out. Torn calf. Middle-aged man injury,’ the 45-year-old wrote.

Jules later shared a rather ‘smug’ photo of herself posing on the side of a mountain while dressed head to toe in ski gear.

‘Smug much? (I actually do feel bad for Guy – poor thing!’ she added.

Guy and his family previously visited Tokyo before heading to the ski fields.

Sharing a series of photos on Saturday, Jules documented several moments of Guy and their kids taking in the amazing sights of the Japanese city.

In one photo, Guy smiled alongside Hudson and Archer before tucking into some food from the markets.

Another snap showed Jules posing in a photobooth with Hudson.

‘Absolutely loving exploring Tokyo,’ she captioned her post.

It’s not the first time a member of the Sebastian family has been injured during a family ski trip.

In 2021, Jules revealed that she broke her leg and didn’t realise it while having fun in the snow at Thredbo.

‘Did you even go skiing if you didn’t break a bone?’ the stylist asked her social media followers at the time.

Jules went on to explain that she continued skiing for several days, as if nothing had happened.

‘Funniest part is I only just found out today, so I kept skiing for the rest of the week and have been doing life with a broken leg,’ she wrote, before adding, ‘Committed lols.’

Jules has been putting on a brave face in recent weeks after suffering a devastating family heartbreak.

In November, she took to Instagram to reveal that her father had died in an emotional post.

She described him as ‘the best Dad a daughter could ever hope for’ and shared a photo from her wedding day that showed her father standing proudly by her side.

‘This week my beautiful Dad went to heaven to be with the angels,’ the caption read.

‘Our hearts are broken but also so full of gratitude for the time we had with him in the last days of his life.

‘When I think of my Dad, I think of the twinkle in his eye. He was always ready for a laugh and a joke and had the lightest way of cruising through life. My Dad had time for everyone. He made everyone feel important.’

She described him as an easygoing, sociable person with a passion for music and art, coupled with the ‘best handwriting’ she’d ever seen.

‘There wasn’t a soul who knew him that didn’t love him. As this week has unfolded, I have been overwhelmed with how many people have described him as a ‘good man.’ That he was. Just so good,’ she gushed.

‘What a privilege it was to be in the room as my Dad took his last breath on Earth. I wish I had words to describe it, but it will have to remain as unexplainable and very special.

‘To my Mum, who has been married to my Dad for 51 years and devoted her life to being by his side through every good and bad day—you’re my hero. An angel on Earth.’

Jules concluded her tribute with a poignant farewell, adding: ‘To say I loved my Dad is the world’s greatest understatement.

‘He was the best Dad a daughter could ever hope for. I already miss him. Rest in eternal peace Daddy—give my big bro a squeeze from us.’

Jules has been supported by her husband Guy and their two sons through the difficult time.

The childhood sweethearts tied the knot in a romantic ceremony in Manly, Sydney, back in May 2008 after nearly ten years of dating.
