Katie Salmon broke her silence after the tragic death of her ex fiancé and father of her daughter Thiaga in a heartfelt Instagram post on Thursday.
The former Love Island star, 29, announced Harry sadly passed away in December 2024. His cause of death still remains unknown.
Katie paid tribute after taking the time to ‘re align, grieve and be present’ with her toddler over the festive period.
She wrote: ‘Happy new year to all. I’ve taken some time of [sic] social to just re align as well as grieve and just be present with my daughter and family.
‘The year ended with sad news but I have every faith this year is the year for all answered prayers and healings.
‘I’m always shocked at how I manage to get through the things I do and that’s because of God.

At the time of his death, Katie wrote: ‘Trying to navigate this pain. The highest highs and the lowest lows with you.
‘It’s so sad to know you’ll never see what a beautiful little girl she is or who she will become. I hope your soul finds peace Harry [heartbreak emoji].’
Katie, who is now in a relationship with businessman boyfriend Joe Rossi, 39, split from Harry just six months after the birth of their first child, in September 2022.
Prior to dating Harry she was in high profile relationships with the late Love Island co-star Sophie Gradon, who died by suicide in June 2019.
The mother-of-one found fame after appearing on ITV2’s Love Island in 2016, where she made history by pairing up with Sophie in the show’s first same-sex couple.
Reflecting on her life as a single mother-of-one, Katie addressed how she has ‘only just got the hang of coping alone’.

Sharing a sweet post with her rarely-seen daughter, Thaiga, Katie wrote: ‘It’s actually true, flamingos lose their pink while they are pregnant and it doesn’t return back for quite some time after.
‘Motherhood is by far the most challenging, rewarding job I have ever had and it feels like now after nearly 2 years am only just getting the hang of it and coping a lot more being a single mum.
‘Raising a child alone or with help has its challenges, a whole little life is dependent on you. It took me so long to get used to.
‘The fact that am now a mother still feels like a dream and although everything in my life needed to be put
on hold to focus on my little girl. What a journey it’s been.. it’s took some time to get used to our new life.
‘But I feel so lucky and blessed to be at this point in comparison to the first six months after she was born.
‘I really struggled, Having my best friend and baby girl by my side every day through good times and bad makes this journey off life that even more special to share with her.
‘So new mammas, mammas to be. Your pink will return I promise; it does get easier and the hard times will pass or we just learn more patience and let us remember one day we will want to slow this journey down and re do it all again.
‘Your a powerful woman who’s doing a great job at raising your little cub. Your baba appreciates and loves you more than anything.’

Katie – who has cleared her grid of raunchy images – announced the news in October as she shared: ‘3 months since I was baptised… From being at breaking point in my life to finding hope and peace in the storm I won’t stop speaking his name or what he’s done with my life.
‘God is my savior and in a world that’s dark, covered with evil people and pain I want every soul to know there’s a way out, whether you understand it or not. There’s hope and glory in his name.
‘I want to make clear this isn’t a post or trend to say how God stopped me dressing provocatively, exposing my body online or covering my face in makeup.’
Katie continued: ‘He didn’t stop me doing anything, he simply loved me just for who I am and made me look at myself the way he looks at me.
‘I found a relationship with the Lord himself not a religion but a deeper meaningful relationship. I want to honour him, his word and his people. Everything has changed inside and around me so my posts may have changed. My look, my bank balance and my clothing BUT I am more me than ever before.
‘Even on days I don’t know what’s coming or why things are happening in this world, I will praise you for you never leave me and always love me even when am wrong. Thank you Jesus’.
