Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo took embracing the festive spirit to a new level on Tuesday by recreating an iconic scene from the Christmas classic Bridget Jones’s Diary.
The couple and Newlyweds podcast hosts put their acting skills to the test as they treated their listeners to a new Instagram reel to sign off for the year.
The duo recreated none other than the ending scene where Bridget (Renée Zellweger) is forced to put on her ‘tiny knickers’ and run through the snow-covered streets of London half-naked in an effort to not let Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) get away.
It comes after Mark finds her notorious diary inside her flat, which is full of insults towards him, and when Bridget comes back to the room she discovers that he’s disappeared.
Assuming her new lover had ran away in anger, she sprinted outside with nothing on her bottom half but her leopard-print underwear – only to find that he’d actually just gone to buy her a new diary.
Of course, for the video, Jamie hilariously took on the role of Bridget with Sophie pretending to be Mark Darcy – and they added their own cheeky twist.

In the skit, Jamie exclaimed: ‘Definitely an occasion for genuinely tiny knickers!’ as he left Sophie to read magazines in the other room.
Then, she found his diary, which read: ‘But listeners think Sophie is sexier than me, but she’s NOT. I hate her! I hate her!’
Donning almost exactly the same outfit as Bridget did, Jamie realised Sophie had left and ran through London after her.
After sprinting away and running into ‘producer Ewan,’ Jamie and Sophie continue to play out the iconic moment as they kiss and Jamie exclaims: ‘Good girls don’t kiss like that!’
Sophie jokes ‘Yes they f****** do!’ and then the pair sign off by shouting: ‘Merry Christmas!’
They also posted a behind the scenes reel which showed the extent of the camera crew following them around for the Christmas shoot.
In the caption, Jamie quipped: ”Definitely an occasion for genuinely tiny knickers.’

Jamie penned: ‘We hoped we’ve entertained you!! Merry Christmas – We love you guys!! Stay tuned for 2025 where we have so many amazing, HUGE plans!!! Lots of love’
They added: ‘Channeling our inner Bridget Jones! Find a nice, sensible boyfriend and avoid all the emotional fuckwits this holiday season… or at least try. Watch the chaos unfold in our Bridget Jones-inspired Christmas shoot.’
Fans rushed to the comments to praise the duo for the funny video, writing: ‘Best scene ever!! Nailed it!!!’
‘Nearly swallowed my jellybean when I saw that side profile run! Merry Christmas!’
‘The way I was SO invested.’
‘You’re both bonkers and I love it.’
‘Ha! You guys are THE best. Merry Christmas and thanks for all the laughs.’
‘This is the funniest thing I’ve seen this year.’
Jamie and Sophie have recently bought their first home in a different corner of west London after previously branding Chelsea ‘boring’.
They have now received the keys for a house in Notting Hill, after having spent three years renting an apartment in the area.

The new abode has a basement, which they will turn into a media room, as well as a garden.
They plan to renovate the property, with a kitchen created by the upmarket firm Smallbone.
Explaining why they were living in a rented property in Notting Hill, Jamie previously said in an interview last year: ‘I found Chelsea boring.’
He told The Times back in May: ‘We’ve been renting a two-bedroom apartment in Notting Hill for three years. I previously owned an apartment in Chelsea, but I found Chelsea boring.
‘We also needed to move out because the flat had a history – Sophie didn’t like the fact my ex-girlfriends had lived there.’
