Strictly Come Dancing star Karen Hauer revealed she has new plans for her career, following 11 years in the BBC hit show.

The Venezuelan-American dancer, 41, confessed she would like to become a judge on the dancing contest.

With 11 years of experience in Strictly’s ballroom as the longest serving professional dancer, Karen appears to have made plans for a next-level job on the judges panel.

‘Right now, I’m really happy with being a professional on Strictly, and to continue spreading that love of dance. As clichéd as it sounds, it can change your life, and some people still have no idea,’ she told Radio Times. 

She continued teasing more on her future career plans:  ‘But also, I’d love to be a judge on Strictly. I love to teach and I love to guide people. I think that’s my calling, my next step.’

She added she’ll never take her job on Strictly for granted, and said how ‘incredible’ is when people come up to her whenever she is out – remarking ‘how much happiness we bring to them’.

‘Doing a job that makes people happy and makes them smile is something I never take for granted, working on this show can be exhausting. But the fact that we get to entertain the nation – that’s where we get the energy,’ Karen said.

The Venezuelan star is paired up with comedian and presenter Eddie Kadi – as the duo competes to win the glitterball trophy on this year’s series.

Karen and Eddie sent fans as much as the judges in overdrive with their Men In Black performance last Saturday, earning the first 10 of the series.

Judge Shirley Ballas didn’t hold back from praising their street dance routine, as she said:  ‘When you do something well, it needs rewarding.’

‘This was slick, it had style, it was edgy, it was entertaining, you found your groove. Everything that you love in dance you were able to bring today as a partnership, I absolutely loved it,’ Shirley added.

Earlier on Sunday, Karen made a glamorous appearance as she joined fellow professional’s Dianne Buswell and Amy Dowden at the Pride Of Britain Awards at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.

The pro dancer showcased her jaw-dropping figure and incredibly toned abs in a strapless and dramatic navy gown.
