Amy Adams revealed on Wednesday that’s she’s now a die-hard Taylor Swift fan and would jump at the chance to play a role in any future film about the pop superstar.
The six-time Oscar nominee, 50, couldn’t contain her excitement during The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon when the host told her that Swift fans had started a petition for her to play the singer’s long-time publicist Tree Paine in a potential biopic.
‘That would be amazing,’ Adams exclaimed. ‘That would be so fun. I mean… if it got me closer to Taylor, then that would be fun.’
The internet buzzed with excitement at the idea, particularly after fan Hunter Harris tweeted, ‘Amy Adams will win an Oscar for Tree Paine’s biopic,’ highlighting the striking physical resemblance between Adams and Paine, not least their signature red hair.
Paine, 53, has been Swift’s publicist since 2014 and has cultivated a loyal fan base, with many Swifties praising her for her fiercely protective approach toward Taylor.
Adams, meanwhile, revealed that her Swift fandom reached new heights, all thanks to her 14-year-old daughter, Aviana, whom she shares with husband Darren Le Gallo.
‘I mean, I’ve always liked her music and appreciated her,’ Adams said. ‘And then I went to the Eras Tour. A friend of mine had a ticket. And then I became, like, a Swiftie at 50. So I’m like a shifty Swiftie at 50.’

Despite her impressive performances, she has yet to win an Oscar, making her one of the most nominated actresses without a victory in Academy history.
Her late show appearance comes after Swifties went wild after Taylor responded to her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s nomination for NFL ‘Man of the Year’ award.
