Joe Rogan recently addressed the swirling rumors surrounding Jamie Foxx’s mysterious 2023 hospitalization and its alleged connection to Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.
The speculation gained traction following reports that Foxx made comments about Combs during the filming of his upcoming Netflix special.
On a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan and his comedian guests Shane Gillis, Mark Normand, and Ari Shaffir discussed the controversial topic.
Rogan acknowledged the possibility that Foxx’s remarks could be part of a stand-up routine, but also expressed uncertainty about the true nature of the situation.
‘Jamie Foxx just recently said that P Diddy poisoned him and that’s why he got that stroke,’ Rogan stated. ‘He talked about it on stage … He talked about it on his Netflix special.’
Rogan delved deeper into the speculation, referencing the rumors surrounding potential criminal activities linked to Diddy.

‘Bro, I think there was some crazy s*** going on,’ he said. ‘I think murders, alleged murders. A bunch of people got pneumonia, a bunch of convenient people died of pneumonia.’
Normand added, ‘[Foxx] said “I didn’t have a heart attack because of the vaccine, it was Diddy shutting me up.”‘
The podcast host referenced a DailyMail.com report, which claimed that two audience members at Foxx’s Netflix special taping reported hearing the actor say Combs was responsible for his hospitalization and that Foxx had contacted the FBI about Combs.
While discussing the possibility that Foxx’s comments were part of a comedy routine, Rogan remained open to multiple interpretations.
‘It’s possible, that’s totally possible, but it’s also possible he was explaining why he went to the hospital and he hasn’t talked about it since,’ he said.
Rogan concluded the discussion by emphasizing the need to wait for the release of Foxx’s Netflix special to gain clarity on the situation.
‘We won’t know until we see the actual Jamie Foxx Netflix special,’ he stated.
The podcast episode comes nearly one month three eyewitnesses who attended the tapings of Jamie’s upcoming Netflix special What Had Happened Was told Page Six he discussed claims that Diddy, 54, caused his medical emergency.

However, the audience members had varying accounts of the comedian’s words.
Two of them claim that Foxx said Diddy was responsible for what happened to him, and that he ‘is the one who called the FBI on [Combs]’, who’s currently in prison awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
A source close to Diddy insisted to DailyMail.com that ‘there is no truth to Sean Combs putting Jamie Foxx in the hospital.’
It’s unclear if the comments were intended as a joke or how others in the audience interpreted them.
Big Homie .CC, a celebrity security guard, claimed in an interview with Cam Capone News that Foxx was ‘poisoned’ by Diddy.
‘I know [Combs] poisoned Jamie Foxx, and Jamie Foxx reported him to the FBI because of it… Jamie Foxx reported this man to the FBI because of this,’ he claimed.
Big Homie .CC told Page Six his claims are based on hearing Foxx describe the story at two of his comedy show tapings, which the security guard said he attended with a client.
Videographer Choke No Joke revealed he attended two of Foxx’s three shows in Atlanta earlier this month. The shows took place on Oct. 4, 5 and 6 at the Alliance Theatre.
His guest added, ‘[Foxx] said “I didn’t have a heart attack because of the vaccine, it was Diddy shutting me up”‘
‘Bro, I think there was some crazy s*** going on,’ he said. ‘I think murders, alleged murders. A bunch of people got pneumonia , a bunch of convenient people died of pneumonia’
‘Jamie has a special coming out on Netflix called “What Had Happened Was,” and I went to the taping of it. It was three days taping. I went to the first show; I went to the last show,’ he said in an interview on Comedy Hype.
Choke claimed Foxx said during the tapings that ‘Diddy was responsible for what happened to him, and [Foxx] is the one who called the FBI on [Combs].’
It’s not clear if the alleged comments will be included in the final cut of the special.
When asked if the comments were made as a ‘joke,’ Choke said, ‘I don’t think he was joking.’
‘Y’all can determine was he joking or not when you see the show, ’cause to me — I’m a new comedian, right? … I know when somebody’s setting up a punchline, and I know when you’re serious.’
‘After [Foxx] said, “Diddy did something to me,” he said, “And I’m the one who called the feds on him,”‘ Choke restated, adding that Foxx might have done so because he was ‘scared.’
‘He disappeared, right? He out now, soon as Puff went to jail, right? We see him at the game with [Dallas Cowboys owner] Jerry Jones, right?… We haven’t seen him. As soon as Puff went to jail, [Foxx] was at the goddamn Dallas football game, right? And now he just went and shot his special. And who’s the special strongly based around? Diddy,’ he further claimed.
Choke claimed Foxx and Diddy appeared to be ‘bros’ until something allegedly caused a rift between them.
Two of the audience members claim that Foxx said Diddy was responsible for what happened to him, and that he ‘is the one who called the FBI on [Combs]’, who’s currently in prison awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges; the two seen in 2002
In a statement to Page Six, Choke expressed his shock that Foxx had publicly made the claims, adding he and other industry insiders had previously heard the rumors.
Though phones were confiscated ahead of the shows, Choke took a selfie with Foxx afterwards.
However, Dennis L.A. White, a third attendee, told Page Six he went to the second and third tapings of the show, and his recollections were slightly different.
White shared he heard Foxx say something more in line of, ‘People keep asking me if Diddy was responsible. He was not responsible. If he was, I would’ve been dead.’
He also added he did not remember Foxx talking about the FBI or law enforcement, though he did say the actor spent a good portion of the sets discussing Combs, and even making jokes about ‘baby oil.’
Following his tapings, Foxx shared two photos from the stage, including one of him wiping away tears, as well as a heartfelt message on Instagram.
‘God is good…. As I post these pictures, my heart and my soul is filled with nothing but pure joy…on October 3 fourth and fifth I had an opportunity to tell my side of the story and there was no better place than Atlanta Georgia.’
‘I have to thank you Atlanta you showed up and you showed out, I haven’t been on stage in 18 years but I needed the stage and I needed an audience that was made up of nothing but pure love and that’s what you were.’

‘When people ask me is this a stand up comedy show I say no it’s an artistic explanation. Of some thing that went terribly wrong, but thanks to the great people in Atlanta especially piedmont hospital you enabled me to come back and be on stage and do what I love to do the most… #nobaddays as my guy James would say #secondchance.’
Foxx, born Eric Marlon Bishop, has been gradually returning to work after facing the mystery health crisis in April 2023, which put him in a ’20-day coma.’
At that time, his eldest daughter, Corinne, took to social media to inform fans that her dad had ‘experienced a medical complication’ the day before but reassured everyone that ‘due to quick action and great care, he [was] already on his way to recovery.’
Fast forward to April 2024, and Foxx shared with a group in downtown Phoenix that he was hospitalized after he asked his ‘boy for Advil’ for a ‘bad headache.’
‘I was gone for 20 days,’ he revealed, adding that he doesn’t ‘remember anything’ from that time.
In December 2023 Foxx revealed he ‘saw the tunnel but not the light’ as he opened up about his near-death experience during his first public appearance since his shock health scare at the Critics Choice Association’s event.
Foxx admitted that he could not ‘walk’ six months earlier, though he refrained from revealing too many details about the medical crisis that put him in the hospital.
In August he also posted a message on Instagram with the caption, ‘They killed this dude name[d] Jesus … What do you think they’ll do to you???! #fakefriends #fakelove.’

He also explained, ‘To clarify, I was betrayed by a fake friend and that’s what I meant with “they” not anything more.’
