And Sex And The City protagonist Carrie Bradshaw was spotted with her ‘Russian’ lover Aleksandr Petrovsky on Wednesday night – albeit out of character and in the real life form of Sarah Jessica Parker and Mikhail Baryshnikov.
The former co-stars, aged 60 and 77 respectively, greeted each other fondly as they attended the New York City Ballet’s 2025 Fall Fashion Gala at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center in the Big Apple.
Despite boasting the nickname ‘The Russian’ in the series, which ran for six series from 1998 to 2004, Mikhail hales from Latvia and is a dancer and choreographer, as well as an actor, earning him his place at the ballet gala.
Dressed in a Carrie-worthy dramatic ensemble, Sarah looked incredible in a winged look as she joined her real life husband Matthew Broderick, 63, yet stole a moment to fondly greet her co-star, who was joined by his daughter Anna Baryshnikov.

Aside from his acting, Mikhail is considered one of the greatest ballet dancers of all time, after beginning his career at the Mariinsky Ballet in Leningrad before heading to Canada in 1974, and later joining the New York City Ballet.

When AJLT first hit screens in 2021, fans of the original show waited with baited breath to revisit Carrie’s story, in the wake of the less than palatable 2008 and 2010 movies, however the woke storylines drove the show to an end.
