In David Beckham’s 2023 documentary his wife Victoria went viral after confessing the truth about her working class roots.
And as Victoria releases her own Netflix series, her husband tries to steal a slither of her spotlight.
In the opening scenes of Posh Spice’s three part film, she is seen pottering around the kitchen of the couple’s £30million London townhouse with David.
After interrupting his wife with a noisy blender, David leaves for work, giving Victoria a lingering hug before making his grand exit with a joke.
‘What do you call a bear with no teeth? Gummy bear,’ quips the former footballer.
A smirking Victoria jokes to the camera ‘he thinks that that’s going to be his moment in the documentary, it’s not about him, it’s about me.’

In David’s 2023 documentary his wife Victoria went viral after confessing the truth about her working class roots
Two years ago the family had fans in hysterics thanks to a scene in David’s documentary which saw Victoria spoke emotively about her ‘very working, working class’ roots.
David interrupted, incredulous, and asked Victoria to be honest to which she replied: ‘I am!’ He then repeatedly asked Victoria to reveal what car her dad used to drive her to school in.
The Spice Girl eventually gave in and said: ‘OK. In the ’80s, my dad had a Rolls-Royce.’ ‘Thank you.’ David replied, and immediately left and closed the door behind him, his job done.
Victoria has captalised on the moment with a £110 ‘My Dad Had A Rolls Royce’ T-shirt as part of her self-titled clothing range.
The couple also spoofed the scene in a Super Bowl advert debut for Uber Eats.
According to Netflix’s own data, Beckham was the most-watched show for two weeks when it was released two years ago, with 11,600,000 fans watching globally.
Netflix hopes to score the same dizzying levels of success with their Victoria documentary.
The docuseries sees the singer and fashion designer get candid about her family and the Spice Girls.

It will also detail the struggles Victoria had with her eponymous fashion brand, with Victoria recalling her business being ‘millions in the red’, while David confessed the debt ‘panicked’ him.
Yet Victoria insisted family are her main priority in life, stating simply in the trailer as she wept: ‘I want my kids and David to be proud of me’.
The trailer ends with David consoling his crying wife by declaring: ‘You could make a cheese and ham toasted sandwich and we’d be proud of you.’
Victoria then quipped back: ‘Let’s be honest I couldn’t actually make a cheese sandwich very well.’
Only last year it was revealed that her once-floundering brand had finally turning a handsome profit 17 years after its launch.
In January 2023, accounts for Victoria Beckham Holdings Ltd revealed losses of £5,887,036 in 2021, down from £8,581,944 in 2020.
At the time the figure meant overall losses for the firm stood at £66.3m since its launch in 2008 and directors of the firm – including Victoria and her husband David – were not paid a dividend.
Victoria Beckham is streaming on Netflix now.
