Charlotte Church was among the stars forced to dig their own grave on the first episode of The Celebrity Traitors on Wednesday.
The celebrities taking part were taken to a graveyard where they each had a tombstone with their name on it.
Host Claudia Winkleman told them the first six celebrities who found a shield buried in their graves would win immunity from the first murder.
While many of the contestants dug their graves with shovels, Charlotte – who was wearing a white dress – got right into her grave and dug it up with her bare hands.
The move paid off as she was one of the first six to find a shield and secure immunity from the first murder.
However, she ultimately gave this up toward the end of the episode when the celebrities were completing a task to add Ā£15,000 to the prize fund.Ā

The other celebrities who won immmunity were Jonathan Ross, Joe Marler, Joe Wilkinson, Kate Garraway and Celia Imrie.Ā
After getting their shields, the celebrities were taken to the castle where Claudia selected her traitors.
She chose presenter Jonathan, comedian Alan Carr and singer Cat Burns.
Alan couldn’t help but giggle when the TV host tapped him on the shoulder while all the celebrities were blindfolded around the table.
The comedian admitted he’s worried about his chances of going undetected by his fellow celebrities.
Speaking to the camera, he said: ‘I have a sweating problem and I can’t keep a secret. What am I going to do? It’s a weight burning on my shoulders, I’m so nervous.’
Alan even proclaimed he was ‘worse than Linda!’, referring to series three contestant Linda Rands who memorably looked right at Claudia when she addressed the traitors in front of the entire group, causing eventual winner Jake Brown to suspect her.
Viewers took to X to react to the selection of Traitors, with many predicting Alan won’t manage to avoid detection because of his reaction to being chosen.Ā
Fans were left unconvinced Alan Carr has what it takes to be a Traitor after he appeared to laugh after being chosen on Tuesday’s debut episode
Alan, chat show jost Jonathan Ross and singer Cat Burns were chosen by Claudia Winkleman to be the Traitors of the series
They wrote: ‘Alan Carr is gonna be the worst Traitor ever, so obvious’… ‘Alan Carr as a Traitor is going to be absolute box office stuff.’
‘Cat may susprise us but feel like she’ll crumble. Alan has NO hope’… ‘Alan Carr is somehow going to vote himself as a Traitor at the roundtable isn’t he?’
‘Alan Carr having to bite his lip to stop laughing immediately. He has no hope whatsoever.’
Bosses are expecting the first season to be a hit as the last civilian run, which aired in January, attracted huge ratings of seven million per episode.Ā
Before the series aired on BBC One, bosses were believed to have already started eyeing up the next line up.Ā
Host Claudia has already stipulated that there will be no special treatment for celebs, so no doubt they’ll be put through their paces with the usual array of wacky challenges.
