Nicole Kidman Admits ‘Nervousness’ Ahead of Chanel Show Amid Divorce from Keith Urban

Nicole Kidman has opened up about how ‘nervous’ she was before attending the Chanel fashion show during Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday amid her shock divorce.

The Australian actress, 58, made a defiant appearance at the fashion house’s presentation with her daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and 14-year old Faith Margaret.

It marked her second public appearance this week after the news broke that she has split from her husband Keith Urban after 19 years of marriage. 

And despite looking the epitome of calm and collected at the event, the Hollywood star admitted that behind the scenes she was feeling the pressure.

In a video taken by Vogue magazine, Nicole spoke to the camera while preparing for the show, and said: ‘We’re getting ready for the Chanel show, I’m just very nervous.

She was asked, do you feel nervous? And she replied: ‘Yeah I do, I have my daughters coming with me.

‘But I’m very excited for Matthieu [Blazy]because this is a big moment for him, so to be able to celebrate him with his first show with Chanel is the beginning of an incredible journey together. It’s exciting, right’.

Nicole also touched on reconnecting with the brand, and said: ‘They asked me to become global ambassador for Chanel again, it feels like coming home – which is an amazing feeling.

‘I think Matthieu [Blazy] brings his essence to the house, so I’m so excited to be on a journey with him in this way and to be able to announce it to Vogue.’

Dressed in an oversized shirt and jeans, Nicole confirmed she has ditched her wedding ring as she blew a kiss after at the star-studded event alongside her two daughters with Keith.

Mother and daughters were joined by journalist Lucia Hawley – the daughter of Nicole’s sister, Antonia, as they made their way into the Paris venue on Monday.

She announced her separation from country star Keith on September 30, effectively drawing a line under their once rock-solid marriage.

Sunday, the elder of her two children with the musician, was back at work just 24 hours later as French couture brand Christian Dior unveiled its latest collection at Paris Fashion Week.

The model walked the catwalk on Wednesday, before using her social media platform to praise the spring-summer presentation by sharing video footage of her appearance.

Captioning the post with a series of credits to the creative team behind her latest show, she wrote: ‘j’adore dior.’

Nicole filed to end the marriage on Tuesday – citing irreconcilable differences – as a source claimed to the Daily Mail that Keith has already moved on with an unnamed female musician. 

The well-placed Nashville music business PR source said: ‘The rumour is that he’s with a younger woman in the business.

‘It’s all everyone is talking about. Everyone wants to know who, but so far, that’s a mystery.’

Nicole was previously married to Tom Cruise, 63, for 11 years from 1990 to 2001. They adopted two children together: Isabella, 32, and Connor, 30.

At this time, Keith who is renting his own home in Music City, is said to be showing no signs of wanting to reconcile.

Those in Nicole’s circle claim the very suggestion of him with someone else after their separation has been difficult for her to process.

The couple were last seen together publicly in June this year, when they were pictured attending a FIFA World Cup match in Nashville, Tennessee.

The country star has been away for much of the year on his High and Alive World Tour. He is due to perform in Hershey, Pennsylvania on Thursday.

Nicole and the children, meanwhile, have remained in Nashville, where the couple own a $4million compound.
