Cameron Diaz filmed what appeared to be a dramatic scene on set of her upcoming action comedy Bad Day in New Jersey on Tuesday.
The 53-year-old actress – who recently enjoyed a rare outing with husband Benji Madden – was joined by her co-star Rhenzy Feliz as the pair shot a day scene at a gas station.
Production for the Netflix feature began last month – with Jake Szymanski directing and Lauren Solon penning the screenplay.
Diaz kept it casual while sporting a plaid button up as well as a pair of classic denim jeans and a green jacket.
She completed the overall look by slipping into a pair of white sneakers and easily held a smartphone in her right hand.
The Charlie’s Angels actress carried a tan-colored purse over her shoulder while her blonde locks flowed down naturally past her shoulders.

Both Diaz and Feliz were seen filming a scene as they pulled up to a gas station inside an older red Volvo sedan.
The actress stepped out of the passenger side of the vehicle and proceeded to have a brief dramatic exchange with Feliz.
He tossed his arm up into the air as he motioned towards the street while Diaz kept a serious expression on her face.
However, in between takes, the two stars held smiles on their faces as they held a lighthearted conversation. Feliz was also seen holding a raw carrot in his hand for the scene.

The mom-of-two previously credited Foxx to bringing her back to the big screen.

Diaz – who is also known for her roles in films such as The Mask and The Holiday – continued, ‘If I was going to leave my family for 10 hours a day I wanted to do it with the most talented man in the entertainment business.’
She then told the host and audience that, ‘It is a privilege to make films, and we are all so lucky to do what we do. That the door was even open for me after a decade was amazing.
‘I loved those 10 years for me and my family, but I thought, “If I let this go away, if I don’t engage again, and if I don’t give it chance, I am a fool.”‘
She added, ‘It might be the beginning of something, but its here now and I am grateful for it.’
Diaz tied the knot with guitarist Benji Madden in 2015 and the couple share two children together: Raddix, five, and Cardinal, one.

‘When you go back to something that you’ve done, there’s so much of it that you don’t have to think about.’
Diaz added, ‘I was like, “Oh man, I just know how to hit my mark. I know what questions to ask the cameraman.” The set was second nature to me.’
