Jenelle Evans’ mother is now recovering after reportedly suffering a stroke last week.
TMZ reports Barbara Evans was hospitalized as a result of the major health scare but has been discharged and is now back home recuperating.
Barbara is expected to make a full recovery, and Jenelle, 33, has traveled to North Carolina to see her mother and spend time with family, sources told the site.
Jenelle, who last year relocated to Nevada, was unable to immediately return to North Carolina due to recent sinus surgery, the site added.
The Daily Mail has reached out to a representative for Jenelle for comment but have not yet heard back.
Jenelle and her mother have infamously had a tumultuous relationship over the years, but earlier this year the Teen Mom alum reported improvement.

‘[Things are] good,’ she told Us Weekly in June. ‘We talk from time to time, but not every day.’
The duo endured a years-long custody battle over Jenelle’s eldest son Jace, 16, whom was under Barbara’s care for 13 years after the MTV star signed over custody shortly after he was born.
Jenelle, who has faced numerous brushes with the law over the years and also has been open about a heroin addiction, told Us Weekly at the time: ‘When he is older, I will tell him I was really young and I couldn’t put a roof over my own head, let alone his.
‘Once I get a job, save money and have my own place for three months, then I’ll bring my mom to court.’
But in 2023 she regained full custody.
‘My mom and I decided together to grant full custody back to me because we want to build our relationship back as mother and daughter,’ Jenelle told Us Weekly in a statement at the time of her regaining custody.
‘We have officially signed the papers on Thursday, March 16th at the courthouse,’ Jenelle, who also previously said in 2021 that she regained custody of Jace, stated. ‘It’s a done deal!’
She went on to explain that her mother wishes for Jace to live with his family and be around a proper father figure.
‘My mother agrees it’s time for Jace to be back with his siblings and living with a mother and father,’ she said.
‘She also thinks it’s important for Jace to be around a father figure to learn “boy things” and have “men talk”,’ she added, nothing that Barbara ‘has seen the way David parents [her] children’.
‘She knows we’re able to handle it,’ Jenelle continued. ‘We want to all get along for the sake of the children and – like I said before – building back our relationship as mother and daughter.’

However, Jenelle is now facing tumult in her relationship with Jace as well.
The drama between Jenelle and Jace erupted over the summer after the teenager shared a tense text message exchange between him and his mom (one in which she allegedly said ‘F*** YOU’ to him).
He is now living thousands of miles away from his mother and with a relative, as he is reportedly on probation over a legal issue that is confidential due to his age.
During a recent Q&A she held on her Instagram Stories, Jenelle addressed the feud after one fan asked, ‘Do you feel that history is repeating itself now Jace is acting like how u acted w/ur mo.’

Jenelle acknowledged she saw the pattern reoccurring yet seemed to shift blame on her mother for Jace’s behavior, writing: ‘It’s the way he was raised with my mom, I had to rewire myself out of being reactive in situations and learn to sit and listen.
‘Had to teach myself not to cuss every other word like I grew up with and still working on it. I had to break the cycle and it’s happening again.’
She also defended herself in the text message drama, insisting fans weren’t seeing the full story.
‘You really are trash for speaking to your son like that in those texts,’ one person told her.
‘Do you know what transpired before that?’ Jenelle responded. ‘Didnt think so. You’ve got some cropped texts to go off of.. not a full conversation. Keep guessing (shrug emoji).’

When one asked what type of treatment or help she was getting for her son, she said: ‘That’s no one’s business.’
Meanwhile, Jenelle is legally single after finalizing her divorce from David Eason in June.
Jenelle filed for separation from David last year after six years of marriage and accused him of erratic behavior, substance abuse, not working – and even brought up the time he shot their French bulldog, Nugget, in 2019.

In June Evans had a divorce party at New York City’s infamous Spearmint Rhino.
She even had a very special piñata of her ex-husband’s face made so she could swing the pole at him over and over and over again to mark the end of their turbulent eight year union.
