The Voice Australia aired its gripping grand finale on Sunday evening, which saw Tarryn Stokes crowned winner of the popular singing competition.
The mother of two, 40, could not contain her shock after host Sonia Kruger, 58, told her she won a record contract and $100,000 in prize money.
‘It feels amazing, going from The Blinds to being in the Grand Finale and somehow believing I can do this. Thanks to my coach Rita Ora for believing in me,’ she said.
However, Rita, 32, was having none of it and told Tarryn she had herself to thank for her extraordinary success on the show.
‘You did this! It’s just incredible, you’re incredible, and remember this is just the start. I’m so happy for you. well done Australia, thank you so much,’ Rita said.

Tarryn stunned the coaches and fellow finalists by performing a pitch perfect rendition of Celine Dion’s haunting ballad All By Myself.
The judging panel could not stop gushing over her incredible performance, with Guy Sebastian, 41, labelling her singing ‘just perfection’.
‘That is hands down one of the best vocals ever to happen on this show ever, ever,’ Rita added.

Rita then took to the stage to congratulate Tarryn and join her in a thrilling duet of Whitney Houston’s Simply the Best.
Meanwhile, fellow Grand Finalists Ezra Williams, Charlie Pittman, and Ethan Beckton belted out their songs enthusiastically, narrowly losing to Tarryn.
From the moment Tarryn first blind auditioned on the show, her coach Rita Ora labelled her one of the best singers in the history of the singing competition.
Under Ora’s guiding mentorship, Tarryn honed her craft and achieved her dreams in front of the nation.
