A Love Triangle season two contestant has revealed the reason why he didn’t start dating until he was in his 20s.
Alan Wallace, a 32-year-old electrician from Victoria, is often mistakenly perceived as a ‘F Boy’ by potential suitors.
But the charismatic and successful businessman hasn’t had a lot of luck in the dating scene, and is adamant these preconceptions couldn’t be further from the truth.
‘I do get put in the f**kboy category before I’ve even said anything,’ he told the cameras.
‘But that’s just not me.’

During episode two of the Stan Original Series, Alan was matched with two women — Jessica, 30, and Caity, 25 — who he’s never met before.
After chatting with the ladies for two days and getting to know them, he decided to choose Jess to take on a date.
Alan said he chose Jess due to her ‘spicy’ personality and their ‘undeniable’ chemistry.

‘I chose Jess over Caity because I feel like I had more of a spark there from day one,’ he told producers.
‘I’m pumped to see Jess in the flesh and see if there’s a physical spark to go along with her firecracker personality.’
But things got off to a bad start when Alan declared to producers that Jess wasn’t his type and that he was a ‘little disappointed’.
‘I’ve dated blondes, usually. But I’ve dated a brunette before,’ Alan said to his date, who is a brunette.

Jess attempted to laugh off the statement by replying: ‘It’s all good. I used to be blonde.’
Meanwhile, the airline customer service representative accused Alan of being a ‘F Boy’, but said she’s exactly his type.
‘I go for dark features, [tattoos], just that f**kboy look,’ she laughed.
The comment sparked upset from Alan, who revealed he’s ‘sensitive’ when people assume he’s only after girls for sex and no other connection.

‘It’s not the case,’ he told Jess.
‘There’s a lot more to me and that’s what people don’t understand. Because I don’t get to that point with girls.’
The sparky then completely opened up to his date, revealing that he was diagnosed with an illness in his teens and he didn’t start dating until his 20s.
‘When I was younger, I had a blood cancer growing up. I was only 15, nearly 16. I lost my hair for two years. I had three years of treatment,’ he said.
‘It was a dark time in my life and I was just a shell of myself. I lost two… three years of my life.
‘The first date I ever went on, I was 21.’

Love Triangle sees the lovelorn contestants choose a love match from just two options after building a connection with both without seeing what they look like.
While one match embodies their steamy desires, the other reflects their deeper, more fulfilling romantic needs.
The pairs must spend 48 hours getting to know each other via text only before making their final decision. No pictures or selfies are allowed.
However, in a shocking twist, the rejected person will make a surprise return later in the season to form a risqué love triangle.
The radical relationship format urges courageous singles to reject all conventions and pitfalls of modern dating created by app-based matchmaking.
After just two days of building a connection, singles must make the potentially life-changing choice between two matches, before meeting just one on a blind date.
Stan Chief Content Officer Cailah Scobie said: ‘The first season of Love Triangle proved to be a huge hit with audiences and critics alike.’
‘We look forward to introducing audiences to another unforgettable cast of singles in 2023.’
The announcement comes after a brutal season one finale saw three singletons walk away without partners and, of course, a cheating scandal.
The first two episodes of The Stan Original Series Love Triangle Season 2 premiered October 5, followed by a brand new episode every Thursday, only on Stan.
