Taylor Swift’s new album The Life Of A Showgirl was released worldwide on Friday, October 3.
Rather than spend launch day in her native US, undoubtedly one of her biggest markets, Taylor, 35, has instead opted to fly to London.
The star is in the British capital to mark the release of the highly-anticipated record and has been doing the publicity rounds with appearances on The Graham Norton Show and several radio shows.
Taylor is also using this trip to house hunt for a potential property in a swanky area of West London.
While promoting her 12th record, Taylor stopped by Heart Breakfast where she spoke about her love for another British institution – the Spice Girls.
The singer was interviewed by Spice Girl Emma Bunton and co-host Jamie Theakston.

While promoting her 12th record, Taylor stopped by Heart Breakfast where she spoke about her love for another British institution – the Spice Girls – and was interviewed by Emma Bunton
‘It’s so crazy to actually be in the same room as you because I was telling you, I had your doll, the Baby Spice doll. It was like my favourite one,’ Taylor said.
‘You just mean the world to me. You just mean the world to me, you were the first person I like freaked out over.’
‘I came to your tour twice,’ Emma said.
‘That blew me away,’ Taylor replied. ‘They give me a list of who’s going to be at the show and I saw your name! I could see you from the stage.’
‘I was next to your mum and dad,’ Emma said. ‘It was so lovely, we had such a lovely night. We chatted. It was an amazing night.’
Meanwhile, Taylor also appeared on Capital Breakfast with Jordan North and Sian Welby where she spoke about her love for British people.
‘I mean I was always based here,’ she said. ‘When I wasn’t going to Sweden I would come to London and you know I love London.
‘I love it here, I love England, I love getting to travel outside where I was from and to the places where most of my favourite writers wrote my favourite poems and things like that.

‘And also, I think you guys are the coolest I love your sense of humour. You know that and you know you guys are cool.’
Taylor has spoken frequently of her love of London and the United Kingdom, referencing the city in several songs.
Most notably, the track London Boy from her 2019 album Lover discusses exploring the city life like walking Camden Market, spending afternoons in Shoreditch and nights out in Brixton.
Elsewhere in the song, she proclaims: ‘God, I love the English.’
In the song So Long, London from The Tortued Poets Department, she sings about being in a house ‘by the Heath’ and leaving ‘all I knew’.
Taylor is believed to have first become acquainted with the city in 2012 when she was dating Robert F. Kennedy’s grandson Conor.
She developed a handful of favourite haunts across the city including Hampstead Heath, her ‘favourite walking spot’ and Alice’s antique store on Portobello Road in Notting Hill.
The star was also pictured leaving The Spaniards Inn in Hampstead in 2019 when she was dating Jeoe Alwyn and featured the Kentish Delight Kebab Shop in her music video for End Game.
In January 2023, Taylor was seen leaving the Laylow Club in Notting Hill under an umbrella to shield herself from the paparazzi outside and she has also visited The Groucho Club in Soho.
Taylor has also dated several British men over the years. She famously dated Harry Styles from late 2012 to early 2013, with the romance said to have inspired her song Style.
One of her longest relationships – and most private – was with actor Joe Alwyn who she dated from 2016 to early 2023

The singer dated Calvin Harris from March 2015 to June 2016
She then dated Calvin Harris from March 2015 to June 2016, although the romance was said to have ended badly.
The hitmaker next had a high profile fling with Tom Hiddleston who she dated in summer 2016.
Tom was famously pictured wearing a ‘I Heart T.S.’ tank top before they went their separate ways in September of that year.
One of her longest relationships – and most private – was with actor Joe Alwyn who she dated from 2016 to early 2023.
He inspired many of her songs including Lover, Invisible String and So Long, London.
The actor also co-wrote tracks like Betty and Exile under the alias William Bowery.
Taylor then briefly dated The 1976 frontman Matty Healy shortly after her split from Joe which sparked backlash from fans due to his controversial behaviour.
On a darker note, Taylor’s London trip could also be a way for the star to get some distance from her recent stalking ordeal.
In September, Taylor was granted a five-year restraining order against a 45-year-old man named Brian Jason Wagner.
He has been ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from the singer, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.

Wagner must stay away from the star’s Los Angeles home, her vehicle, and place of work as per the documents.
The judge also ordered him to have no contact with Swift, whether in person, by letter, or digitally.
The order also bans him from owning firearms, ammunition, and body armor for five years. He also must surrender any he currently possesses to the police.
Taylor was granted a temporary restraining order against Wagner in June, after she alleged he repeatedly showed up at her home in May and claimed she had his baby.
The star claimed that he was also able to change his address on his driver’s license to her house.
Taylor also claimed that he tried to divert mail from her house and sent her a series of lengthy, threatening messages.
Wagner, who reportedly lives in Colorado, did not appear at Tuesday’s hearing.
Over the weekend Daily Mail revealed that despite extensive efforts by a personal investigator, the alleged stalker cannot be found.
Wagner has disappeared, according to a declaration filed by Brooke Berg, a licensed private investigator who was hired to help the singer track him down.
According to an insider who spoke to the Daily Mail, Swift is ‘concerned’ about her stalker case, especially because of the ‘depraved lengths he has gone to to invade her privacy.’
‘Her team has to be hyper vigilant because she has been stalked so many times and recently discovered she has been targeted by Groyper [alt-right] groups on social media,’ the source added.
On September 11, Swift’s private investigator Berg filed a declaration informing the court that Wagner had ‘not responded’ to text messages she sent on September 8.
There were also ‘personal service and stake out attempts at multiple last known residential addresses’ in Colorado, in June and July.
