Radio host Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald has revealed the eye-watering amount he spent on tickets for Oasis’ long-awaited 2025 reunion tour.
Noel and Liam Gallagher delighted Aussie fans when they confirmed they will be travelling Down Under for the first time in 19 years for a string of concerts.
The Manchester brothers will be performing at five highly-sought-after gigs in Sydney and Melbourne in October and November 2025.
However, demand for the tickets was sky-high with 170,000 Australians snapping up tickets in Monday’s competitive pre-sale, with another 100,000 sold in Tuesday’s general sale.
Many fans were left empty-handed as four of the shows sold out within 90 minutes of the general sale, with one additional Melbourne date yet to go on sale.
Radio presenter Fitzy was one of the lucky ones who managed to get his hands on tickets, but he admitted his luck came with quite a hefty price tag.
Speaking on Nova’s Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie show on Tuesday, he confessed that he has shelled out an eye-watering $2,640 on presale tickets for his friends.
‘This was my Taylor Swift moment,’ the former Big Brother star declared, referencing the frenzy surrounding the Shake It Off hitmaker’s Australian tour in February.

Clearly overjoyed at being able to nab some of the hottest tickets in town, he explained: ‘I was trying to get Oasis tickets, guys, they were secured.
‘I had to get the presale ballot, and then went into the presale yesterday. But yeah…not cheap.’
He revealed that he had bought a whopping eight tickets in the presale, spending $330 per ticket for him and his pals to see the anticipated gig.
Despite the massive price tag, Fitzy said the tickets aren’t even in prime position, but rather at the back of the general standing area.
‘I don’t mind standing back a little bit from the stage,’ he said.

Looking for a silver lining, co-host Kate Ritchie jumped in with: ‘Well, you’re fine because you’re so tall.’
Demand has already been sky-high for the gigs, with huge numbers of fans tackling the presale queues on Monday afternoon in a bid to get their hands on tickets.
Oasis were originally slated to perform at just four shows in Australia but added another tour date on Tuesday after all of the shows sold out within 90 minutes of the general sale kicking off.
Fans who were left empty-handed will have one last chance to nab the tickets to see Noel, 57, and Liam, 52, perform on November 4, 2025.
Tickets for the extra Melbourne show will go on general sale October 18 on Ticketmaster at 12am.
Sharing the news on social media, the band wrote: ‘Due to phenomenal demand, a third and final Melbourne date has been added on Tuesday 4th November 2025.
‘If you weren’t successful in the initial pre-sale ticket ballot, you might have another chance! General onsale this Friday 18 October.’

Fans have already lashed out at the prices of the highly-sought-after concerts, with general admission said to be going for as much as $300 each.
Hitting back at accusations of soaring prices, Live Nation’s chairman Coppel insisted the rise in prices is the same as in any other sector amid the cost of living crisis.
He said: ‘The average ticket price in 2004 was $75 for a live performance in Australia. The average price last year was $128. The reality is, what else hasn’t quadrupled in price in 20 years?’
‘We have six venues out of 2,700 live venues in Australia. We are in fact the smaller ticketing company. Ticketmaster is a smaller ticketing company than Ticketek in this market,’ he added.
