Jamie-Lynn Sigler is on an extreme ‘milk cleanse’ to try and fix her gut health.
The actress, 43, made the bizarre revelation while on former Sopranos co-star Robert Iler’s Not Today, Pal podcast.
‘You guys should hear what I’m doing right now, you’re going to think I’m crazy,’ she said.
‘It’s shocking because I too love food, I too love sweets. I’m in the middle of something called the milk cleanse. All I’ve been drinking for days is whole milk and that’s it.’
To illustrate her point, Jamie-Lynn whipped out a large flask filled with milk.
The Sopranos star Jamie-Lynn Sigler revealed on the ‘Not Today, Pal’ podcast that she’s on a ‘crazy’ all-milk diet to rid her body of parasites
‘The idea behind it is parasites love dairy. I’ve had so many gut issues, I’ve tried so many different things to fix it,’ she explained.
‘I’ve known enough people that have done this that say it’s really good,’ she added.
The former HBO star explained that the cleanse involves drinking milk for eight days and taking special pills.
‘And then you take these pills, and so the idea is that all these parasites that are hiding in your body, they’re all coming out because all they’re getting is dairy,’ she said.
Jamie-Lynn said she ‘wasn’t hungry’ from the diet and had already used the bathroom a few times that day.
‘It’s just cleaning you out,’ she shared.
Milk-heavy diets have grown in recent years and are popular among bodybuilders due to the high amount of calories needed to bulk up and build muscle – but some health experts warn that consuming too much dairy can be dangerous.
Health issues caused from drinking too much milk can include a calcium surplus, bloating, gas, and constipation.

Back in June, Jamie-Lynn revealed that she’d suffered a near-death experience after returning home from a trip to India.
During an episode of her MeSsy podcast with Christina Applegate, the actress, best known for her starring role as Meadow Soprano on The Sopranos from 1999 to 2007, opened up about a post-surgery complication that nearly killed her.
‘A little less than a year ago now is when I went to India, and I lived at this ashram, and I had felt so awakened and connected and peaceful… two weeks later, I had a very bad reaction to a surgery and got sepsis and was in the hospital and almost died,’ she told listeners.
The star, who noted that she had never publicly shared the story until now, explained that she ended up fighting for her life and was close to death.
Following the harrowing experience, she said she allowed herself to ‘break down and cry’ and ‘feel the pain,’ before seeking professional help.
Post-operative sepsis ‘is a rare complication of surgery, where sepsis has occurred shortly after’ a surgery.
According to East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, ‘in severe cases it can be life threatening’ and can cause ‘multi-organ failure.’
‘I’ve known enough people that have done this that say it’s really good,’ she said of the bizarre diet
It is a rare condition that ‘affects up to one per cent of patients who have had routine operations.’
She did not disclose the surgery she underwent before contracting the infection.
Jamie-Lynn, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) at age 20, also discussed an appointment with her doctor that helped her mindset.
After saying she felt frustrated doing physical therapy without any improved results, her doctor encouraged her to ‘to take the responsibility off the table’ that she could ‘change’ her body’ or was not doing enough.
‘It was a moment I really needed to have,’ she explained. ‘It felt like it took so much pressure off of myself that I need to constantly be fixing myself or changing myself or healing myself.’
Jamie-Lynn cohosts the MeSsy podcast alongside Christina Applegate, who also suffers from multiple sclerosis.
