The Block star Kylie Baker is said to be extremely upset over her ‘villain edit’ on the latest series of the Channel Nine renovation show.
The 37-year-old hairdresser has reportedly ‘completely spiralled’ after seeing her controversial TV edit, a close friend of hers tells Yahoo Lifestyle.
‘We can see Kylie is being silly and a little overdramatic but somehow it comes off to the viewer like she’s bullying people and being ungrateful,’ they began.
‘She is a very giving person and I think she was reading into who she thought the producers wanted her to be. That can be quite dangerous when you then trust someone else to tell your story.’
Kylie and her partner Brad have been dubbed this year’s ‘villains’ due to some negative comments they made regarding their building projects, as well as some difficulty getting along with their co-stars.
One of Kylie’s more shocking moments came when she openly criticised a co-star’s interior designing skills, and questioned whether they had purchased a ‘furniture package’ of bland items.
The insider added that Kylie was struggling with how she was portrayed, as she signed up thinking that she would be seen in a positive manner.
‘She thinks she’s a monster. It’s like the producers took her sense of humour and twisted it into something really nasty.’

‘I think Kylie would like viewers to know you are only seeing a version of her personality.’
Daily Mail Australia revealed in September that Kylie and Brad will make an abrupt exit on the Channel Nine series.
‘Kylie had an absolute meltdown at the end of week 12 and stormed off the set,’ spilled an insider from the production team.
‘She flat-out refused to continue filming, and the pair didn’t even show up to finish their communal space in week 13.
‘I’ve got no clue how the producers are going to handle this on screen or how they’ll edit around it,’ they continued.

It comes after another insider dished that some of the fights between Kylie and Brad were ‘a tad cringe’ and ‘immature’, with their attitudes towards one another raising alarms.
‘They are going to find watching the show back quite uncomfortable – as they really have a unique way of speaking to each other,’ the source said.
The on-set insider continued: ‘The Block really shows the dirt under the fingernails when it comes to the dynamics between these new contestants.
‘It’s fly-on the-wall television at its best watching the latest bunch navigate the trials and tribulations of building a house over 12 weeks.
‘Like Married at First Sight, the tension between each couple is compelling and it’s the most engaging when the couples are at odds with each other.
